Hello guys. I want to know if you create new nations (either as a puppet or fully independent) from your own land or from enemy territory as part of a peace deal. For example Italy creating Libya or Germany annexing parts of France and creating Vichy France with the rest.
Also do you control what your puppets get in a peace conference and can you give them land you already own?
By the way I apologise if this topic was already covered.

they work similar to how they worked in HoI III. In the 5. Episode of World War Wednesday Daniel showed the tab where you manage the occupied countries and he could also release nations he already annexed like austria and czechoslovakia. Occupied territory doesnt count of course.

You can watch the World War Wednesday Stream recordings on Paradox Extra or live every wednesday at 14:30 CET on the Paradox Twitchstream

As for peace conferences you get to claim states (not provinces) in order of the war contribution one after another. Depending on your contribution you have more points to take more territory aswell. Territory claimed by other nations cost alot more for you to take, while they pay less for their claims. That said you can decide to fully annex them, take states from them, puppet them or an combination of the later two.

And how is it with creating an independent Nation from your own? (Like i wanna play Croatia 36, can i let it free with Yugoslavia?)

I think that's where the Civil War system comes into play. Take a look at the DD dedicated to the civil war mechanic, you can practically change regimes of any country (but that being said, there has to be a TAG for a specific country to form) I'm more interested in an earlier communist rebellion and getting Tito as a HoS, it would certainly make an interesting playthrough with you joining either the allies or the comintern right before or in the early days of the war.
