Exactly how is this controlled? I have no clue as to why sometimes the released vassal gets my religion and sometimes it gets its "original" religion. If i would release say Khorasan and feed it persian/baluchi/khorasan culture provinces i would really like Khorasan to have either sunni or shiite as religion. Not my religion which usually is christian.
For instance i managed to get the "annex Mamluks in one war" CB. So i did that and released them as vassal. They got orthodox religion (playing orthodox Ottomans) but every single province they had were sunni which meant that i had to chase down religious fanatics for a decade before i could diplo-annex them. And i can say there wasn't a lack of them as each province had 10-25% religious revolt risk. Sure i could have let them turn Mamluks into Sunni but meh...
