I'm looking at ordering the game, but I don't know the conversions.

So what's it in $$ ?

Don't forget the 6.25 Euros shipping. My approximation was that I paid $46 and change. If it sold in stores for $40 (what Gamestop had it listed as), I'd pay $3 more ordering direct. But then I'd wait longer to get it from Gamestop, and who knows if it really ended up being $40, since pre-release info is notoriously unreliable in every other way.

My only issue (I did pre-order) is wondering how long the USPS will take to get it here. I've gotten stuff by media mail that took ages, and UPS "It'll get there when it gets there" is typically faster than USPS "2 day air". Plus the USPS tracking numbers I've seen are not real tracking numbers: they tell you when it was taken in by USPS, and nothing else. With UPS tracking numbers I can check when a package arrives within minutes of it reaching my house.

Fed Ex or UPS would have been a nice alternative, but I imagine as Paradox's direct sales grow, they will add more shipping options.

One other thing about exchange rates and ordering: It is kind of like playing the market. You pay the rate for when your card is charged (Or posted, I don't remember which) not for when the item is shipped. Sure, it only will probably change a few cents either way by then, but you could profit on the deal.

I guess its personal taste or the state of the mail service in each country. I hate Fed Ex/UPS which is normally the only thing US mail order sites offer because in the UK its far inferior to the standard mail service. That usually arrives before I set off for work and will allow me to go collect anything from a location 10 minutes away that is open nice and early should I somehow miss their first delivery attempt. Getting anything from couriers is a pain because only a saturday delivery will reach me.

Yes specialy since my thread was mostly about ordering from Paradox. I looked at all relevent threads and didnt find any answers to my questions, so i started a new one. No biggie tho.

I moved it after you had received the answer you were looking for which, since you posted after that, I presumed you had read.

As to shipping time to the States, it would only be wild guess since I don't think we know exactly how Paradox plans to ship it. My wild guess would be something in the order of 7-10 business days...but don't quote me on that.

Like i said no big deal. I would rather have a few condensed threads then search in vain for a thread amongst a sea of similar threads. Keeping things neat is good. Makes my time foruming easier while i am at work Its harder for the man to catch me this way you know!

I spotted 5 copies of CK in Tunnelitason Anttila, in Helsinki, Finland. 44,90 €. I understood they have been there a few days already. Almost at the bottom in the new releases shelf. I would have missed them myself but my disinterested friend noticed them. 'Hey, didn't you talk about some crusader game a while back?'

I spotted 5 copies of CK in Tunnelitason Anttila, in Helsinki, Finland. 44,90 €. I understood they have been there a few days already. Almost at the bottom in the new releases shelf. I would have missed them myself but my disinterested friend noticed them. 'Hey, didn't you talk about some crusader game a while back?'

GAH! Now it's going to take all my willpower not to go out and get it. Ship the preorders, ship the preorders!

Yay! A most excellent timing. A friend of mine is going to Helsinki tomorrow (or rather, this) morning. She shall be given a holy crusade to accomplish! And if one Anttile has released it, some of the others might be selling it as well.

Gamestop still says November (I pity the fools). Still, if it hits stores in the US before I get mine I'll buy another and give it to my brother, a big EU2 fan, when mine does arrive.

FYI, yesterday I looked in the game stores in Itakeskus, and it wasn't there. Today I will be going downtown to look in Anttila there. Even though I have a preorder from Paradox, I must gaze upon the forbidden apple.

Just to say, the italian distributor Leader SpA, announce on its website the 15 may as release date for the italian version (game and package translated).
Lol, tomorrow (15 april) is the launch date for Vicky (italian version).
