as uncivilised as the Austrians are, I'm pretty sure they will be getting it at the same time as everyone else in central europe
In the Dev Clash DDRJake says at one point that it's going to be released at 18:00 CEST.
Different time zones for everyone. The game is releasing at 18:00 CET right? That is 26th (or more correctly the very last hours of 25th) here in India as well.
We don't know the exact time it releases, but the last many PDS releases have almost all, if not all, been at 18 CEST. Sometime in the afternoon can be expected, in any case. Don't tihnk I ever have seen a release earlier than 3 PM local time. Or one later than 18, perhaps 18:30 local time in case of delay.
What is the occasion of the holiday down there?...Me wanting it earlier may also have something to do with it being a public holiday here on the 25th

I was also looking forward to an earlier release (midnight or 25th EU morning). It's Liberation Day in Italy and I was hoping to spend it "liberating" North Africa from its unjust Punic yoke.
That was the type of "Liberation" Mussolini was in favor of, and his fall is what is celebrated that day, is it not? Better to play Carthage and liberate Italy from the Fasces-carrying Latins.
Sadly, after an extended hospital stint last year, I am out of sick leave until next month.
Friday is going to be torture. I work from home, too, so being so close to my gaming computer will make it even worse!
So far what we know is that it will be a 25 April 2019 release date (generally meaning WW). So since changed to be released on the 26 Apr, 2019 for Oceania is a bad move. There are multiple advantages different countries have especially USA in regards to gaming, internet, download efficiencies and prices. The only thing Oceania have is the time difference as it kind of sucks over there to be a gamer.
It'll be releasing at the same time (i.e simultaneously) for everybody (likely around 6/7pm CEST tomorrow), it just so happens that due to the time zone differences Oceania is technically into the 26th. It won't be a conscious choice on PDS's part, it's just how we as a species have chosen to arrange our recording of the inevitable advancement of time.
Nothing was changed. The game is being released worldwide on the 25th of May at 18:00 CET. That happens to be 2 AM on the 26th in eastern Australia. We get the game at the same time as everyone else. In terms of download speed - yes it's slower here but not enough to make a meaningful difference for a 3 GB download. The price works out to be maybe 5% higher here than in the US, but then we have significantly higher wages here.
Abolish time zones altogether, I say. They just cause confusion.

I opened this page by two different browser, with the left logged in (so it will display the time in my region) while the right not.
I live in Beijing, China (as is shown in my Signature), which is in UTC+8 time zone.

It is. Most of Western Europe is on CEST, which is UTC+2, for the summer half. You can thank Germany for that since it was them standardising time all th way from Spanish Galicia to Poland during WWII.
But yeah, from the last sunday of March to the last sunday of October all times stated by PDX will be UTC+2 unless specifically stated to not be Swedish time.
