Release date the 26th?

According to Steam, the release date in my region (Australia) is the 26th. I'm guessing this is because of time zones so we don't get access to it several hours before everyone else, but it instead means that other regions will get access to it several hours before us.

Is this intentional? Or is there any chance the release date can be changed to the 25th as for everyone else?

Me wanting it earlier may also have something to do with it being a public holiday here on the 25th

Doesn't releasing on the 26th in Australia line it up so it released at the same time as Europe? You guys are like 10 hours ahead? so a 18:00 release here in Europe, 10 hours ahead lands on 00:04 on the 26th, so it's kind of a day later? but not really because your day came sooner.

I can't remember the times that any of their games released, but their DLC's always release between 1:30pm and 6pm for me (UK time). I don't recall anything ever releasing at midnight.

It's kinda standard release time for Paradox. There's usually a big leadup stream and then the official release at 18:00 CEST followed by about an hour or so of more stream.

I don't think it has ever been explicitly stated, but it's standard paradox policy to do late afternoon/early evening releases. I don't think there has ever been a midnight release for anything, so I have just been assuming, in the absence of any other information, that it'll be anywhere between 15:00 CEST & 18:00 CEST

I think I usually get new releases like 0700 or 0800 i live in the west coast of USA pst. I work nights soo I'll get it dl before bed then soon as I get up that's what I'll be doing!

PDS games/expansions always release at a fixed time, and it never is midnight European time. It always is at some time in the afternoon local time and it then releases to the entire world at that point. EU4 was released at 3 PM IIRC. And for years it was 3 or 4 PM that they always released on. In recent years they seem to have moved to using 6 PM instead and not do 3/4 PM releases anymore.

Since we have daylight savings here in Europe atm and you don't in Australia anymore, then Sydney is 8 hours behind us, so a 3 PM release would be 11 PM Sydney time. A 6 PM release, which is most likely given the release times the last several times, would mean that it releases at 2 AM Sydney time on the 26th.

I've seen it mentioned in a discord server for organising a multiplayer game, I think the devs mentioned it on the dividing the spoils, kind of an offhanded comment but the speculation people have been cooking up leads me to think it's likely going to be then.

Midnight releases are very rare, only some really big releases do it, but even then it seems to become rarer and rarer. I can't even remember the last time I awaited a midnight release.

I wouldn't count on a release at 1 AM Sydney time, since that'd be 5 PM Swedish time and I've never seen anything release at 5 PM. Could happen, of course, but it always is either 3/4 or 6 PM. And if they do a big release stream then 6 PM is way more likely.
