Release Date Question!

As much as I want this game I have serious doubts about downloading it on the day of release due to the massive demand I expect the game to have. Might wait for the following day when it has died down a bit.

The game will only take 10 minutes to download anyway (if that) and is relatively cheap compared to other new titles. I personally would not be willing to save £7 but wait 10 days longer.

Steam has handled many bigger (in terms of size) and more popular titles perfectly well in the past. There is no reason to think C:S will be any different. All my previous Paradox games (EU2/3/4, CK1/2, Vic1/2, HOI2/3) have been perfectly fine on release day in terms of downloading.

I feel your pain - it's why, before I ever move anywhere, I make sure it has Virgin available.

Wow that sucks. Hopefully for you, you can preload the game.

Its a pretty small DL compare to most modern games so it shouldnt take that long even with a pretty slow connection. Even the worst connections shouldnt take much more than an hour, maybe 2.

I have about 37Mbps dl so I dont think it will take much longer than 10 mins.
