Are you serious? After East VS West and now this I'm considering ragequitting on Paradox for a while.
Release date now "Q2 2013"

We have updated our Community Code of Conduct. Please read through the new rules for the forum that are an integral part of Paradox Interactive’s User Agreement.
A later date might mean it comes out better. Plus, Q2 is late Spring, early Summer, which is a better time for me, at least.

Meh, they were cautiously aiming to release it in March. Now its probably looking like April or May then... so we wait a bit longer. If that means more features or less bugs, let them just do their job. 
I never like such a broad window as 3 whole months but Im gonna go ahead and say PDS themselves are probably not sure on the date to begin with. Sucks abit tough, Ive been feeling like laying a V2 game and putting it off till HOD comes out, but now I wonder if there'll be time... For all I know its gonna be release April 1st :s
Better than them releasing a buggy unfinished pile of junk. Good things come to those who wait.

I don't think that additional month or two will dramatically reduce the amount of bugs if we already know that they started working on HoD in 02.2012
Would you prefer getting unpolished/buggy releases so you can complain and then ragequitting Paradox for a while ?
It's not like Paradox teams are sitting idle at their desks sipping coffee, they are trying to please as many people they can with a wide range of new games, i.e. multitasking. I was feeling lucky they decided to also take time to improve Victoria 2 with a second expansion, so I can wait a few weeks without any anger towards Paradox, on the contrary I feel grateful.

Of course i want a better/polished/buggless/super cool expansion... who doesn't? I just want it sooner...
Seriously though, i'm disappointed for the change in release date, but i'm not angry. They seem to be doing more than just add new features that really look cool! The AI tweaks (more logical decisions, knowing why they accept or refuse something, etc.) look good and all the other minor tweaks that add up to enhanced the experience do take time to implement and balance. I understand that the march date was a guess/hope and that things don't always go as planned/hoped. So my dear PDS, do take more time if it's needed to improve an already awesome game. I will wait.....

It could mean as little as two weeks have changed as late March is Q1 and early April is Q2
Yeah, I don't see what benefit there can be in moving from To Be Confirmed until you're at least 95% sure you can make the slot.
But if you're using the quarter form, Q2 also means you've got leeway to release the thing as late as late June.
I don't like three-month windows either, and it does seem they're not sure when it'll be ready for launch. I'm hoping for April, but we'll see.
I suppose it's perfectly feasable that the 'unforseen circumstances' is something that actually affected Paradox as a company rather than EvW as a title. A key player's personal circumstances or somesuch.
I agree. And where I'm coming from, I'd rather have the game earlier and wait for a patch to fix some bugs (which by the way probably don't exist) than wait an extra two months for some minor polishes.

True, but this does give them leeway in case whatever caused the delay gets worse
