I can´t say I fully like the idea of the events-including Day-One DLC, but I think we should wait and see how it really is. The events could be some minor flavour ones, nothing gameplay changing. That way, it´d be mostly cosmetic, and that´s OK by me. Regardless, I´ll probably buy the Extreme Edition

Polls are funny though.

We have a higher percentage of people buying DLC than the old-type expansions.

That's because DLCs are better. The bugfixes go into the main branch, which yields a stable platform for people to like the game and then buy the DLCs because they want more.

wait. I did that. Unfortunately, nobody denied there is a gameplay-changing day 1 DLC. How many consumer organizations "worst company of the year" polls will it take until more of them follow consumer-friendly strategy such as CDProject's?

I like the new DLC model. And they did in in CK2 the the Legacy of Rome DLC (I think), as far as I know the new events in that can only be accessed with the DLC.

And the poll is years old anyway.

Annoying to register to a new site (GMG) or to update payment information to GG, while steam always has everything and works fast. Also the reward points on GG are terrible, the fact that they expire before a casual customer can save enough to buy anything but a 5$ game is lame.

Funny things polls, back then (knowing nothing about the changes in policy and programming to come) I voted I would only like expansion like things. And you know what that is what I personally have been buying. I am not interested in sprites or portraits (although I did buy some music) but I love the DLC expansion system.
And with the smaller DLC apparently selling good enough (and developed by separate groups) we all got what we wanted. In the end publishers will do what does keep them in business, and developers will do what makes sense.

Day 1 event files pretty much do indicate that, though. :-/
