Oh, i dont want them to rush! I am just curious! When it's ready. There's no need to rush the devs.
Well for all of August it's the PD Tinto guy's holidays I believe. So the absolute earliest it could be would be mid-September. Realistic assumption would be around early to mid October.
I get you. Trust me on this that i also would like 1.34 as well Scandinavian DLC. I can't wait to try out new government reforms, especially for Theocracies and certain island Crusader nationOh, i dont want them to rush! I am just curious!
Based on the last DD it feels like we are close. That was all![]()
Well it's only actually frozen for ~1 month (August, holidays) and the rest of September I expect they will be still working on it, ironing out bugs and reviewing all the feedback we give between then and now. They definitely won't be just sat there waiting for the release date as, like you said, that would be wasted time.Which is really frustrating. Not because I wanted them to rush it, in fact I'm glad they've been taking their time with releases (although mid October sounds really unnecessarily far away)
But it's frustrating that they've been freezing the dev build so soon in development. They show us like three dev diaries and that's it, can't really change much anymore because the build is practically set in stone. If your worst estimate is correct, and I highly hope it's not, we are looking at a build frozen for over 3 months with only very small changes. We barely get to give any feedback at all with the dev diaries and it's already "too late" to say anything.
It's gotten a lot better since after Leviathan, but they tend to use the Dev Diaries as more of a hype tool than a feedback tool.

Want to rework missions to actually follow history better than holy mongols? Psst grognardWhich is really frustrating. Not because I wanted them to rush it, in fact I'm glad they've been taking their time with releases (although mid October sounds really unnecessarily far away)

in a couple of weeks I'll present an almost-final version of the Idea group numbers as an addition to the planned DD
They might announce the release date next week and then go on a vacation. But we can't count on that.On the 2nd of August theres a DD about Art.
Quoting a comment from Pavia in the last DD we know that there will be a DD on the 9th
He doesnt mention which topic the DD will cover but im going to assume it will be about perfomance improvement of the game in 1.34(?) Because they havent really talked about it in any DD as far as I remember. He does say that the numbers will be "almost-final", so the build must be near completion
After that, the only DD topic that I can think of for the 16th would be the patch notes. Either this or no DD at all because they go to vacation and then release the patch notes 3 weeks later on the 6th of September, followed by the release of the patch itself on the 7th or 8th of September.
Sadly, I think this dlc dropping in August is very unlikely because they would have to release it and then go to vacation without being able to fix possible bugs, missions not working properly, numbers not being the right value... and a ton of other things that would have to be sorted within the release week because i dont think pdx tinto wants another mess like 1.31.
Obviously this is all expeculation on my part, only the devs know that and since they havent been very specific about it they are probably not even sure themselves, although early September would be the best bet in my opinion
Everybody knows that DD will be only about a supersecret new mission tree for Ulm.On the 2nd of August theres a DD about Art.
