I was building my empire for more than 2 hundred years.
I reformed my faith(Romuva), converted to feudalism, founded custom kingdom(I destroyed it after, still, I can't return territories to the old ones de-jure kingdoms)
I made conquests through Holy War CB, created Great Latgalian Empire. It was so hard to preserve it from dividing and dissolution.
I made many mistakes.
First one was different succession rules in some formed kingdoms and the main empire, in empire there was elective gavelkind, and in one kingdom - ultimogeniture, in others - primogeniture. Only almost subsequent NATURAL death of rulers by chance reunited my empire and allowed me to change succession laws.
And that was the second mistake, as I had chosen feudal elective for the main empire. It was so hard to stay calm and ensure the main empire title and the second empire and my home kingdom would be inherited by one person, which immediatly changed laws and destroyed German Empire Title (I still don't know, may be I should stay with two empires to collect more prestige?)
I really upset that I don't have open form of inheritance as muslims have.
Time was flowing, my faith built best moral authority(100) in the world, only sunni had the same(and not always), catholics could be at the same level, but they are primary targets of my Holy Wars. That why sunni have so high MA, they are too far ^_^ Year after year I converted provinces and area of my faith is now almost the as big as sunni. Mostly it was previously catholic and other pagan. But It is too difficult to spread my faith, I hoped, that people around would adopt it themselves, as It is so high MA, I can't spread it, I can't marry another faith people(however I see, that there are some marriages of catholic rulers with pagans, they some how got pagans in their court?)
After some update I realised that I have infamy rate now, and It is more than 90%, every one hates me, they form alliances against me. There was some period when there was even muslims alliance against me, may be before some other update, because muslims are far from my lands. I still fought for the True Faith against catholics and other pagans, cause I was the most powerful, even when they I fighting all around my borders!
So I used to give viceroyalities to usual vassals and kingdoms to dynasty members, of course sometimes I mistakenly gave normal kingdom to vassals which weren't form my dynasty, but still empire was one and strong, all small and big riots were overwhelmed by mine retinues forces, and forces by loyal vassals! Kings started to fight in holy wars by themselves, I even had new areas added to the empire, so I usually made other empires and kingdoms tributary.
And now comes my biggest mistake, I decided, that being single ruler of the True Faith is so boring and It would be cool to see how acts another ruler of the same faith, and I wanted to have just single ally in this world, I formed new Empire of Carpatia I guess, and gave It to the most bold relative in this area. This traitor(who is member of my dynasty) almost in the same time as he received independence having 100 relations with me joined alliance with pagans! So I don't know what to do? Do I need to force him by taking all his lands (which are almost all converted to the True Faith) or he would not join if I'll use Holy War CB, only tributary, which is more easier to achive? But the most important question for my is why he betrayed our dynasty? Why he joined alliance against me?

He didn't join an alliance against you simply with another person.

And do you mean alliance or defensive pact?

Him just being your family doesn't guarantee he won't join other alliances, simply that you can establish at least a non aggression pact with him, and then update it to an alliance of your own.

If my relative randomly plopped me on an empire in that area I would form an alliance or two also.

As for defensive pacts I don't think you being a family member will prevent him from joining as is. But if you establish a non-aggression pact with him I think he will leave the defensive pact if that's what it is.

And P.S. yea hes an emperor, he'll do what he wants. I've seen many players advocate the strategic releasing of family emperors to make powerful allies but. It is not a tactic I would do spur of the moment.

He joined the defensive pact against you because defensive pacts and Infamy were bad mechanics added badly. Playing as the HRE I won a crusade for an Asturias which had de jure drifted 3 extra duchies. I declared a war for aragon on the weakened ummayads. Once i won i granted all the land to my second son then granted independence. He immediately joined the pact against me because reasons.

If you can secure a non aggression pact with a marriage he'll leave the pact.

Yes, you are right it is defensive pact.

But I am strongly against marriages between dynasty member, not mentioning the fact, that I have only one small daughter, previous ruler unexpectedly died to yearly, although he had many children...
Is there any other possible way to form non-aggression pact?

Hmm, I should investigate it more, I think I was too shocked by such treacherous behaviour.
Second shock I had that I bought "conclave" yesterday and discovered that now I have possibility to invite sayyid trait holders to my court, I want to include some sayyid blood to my dynasty. ^_^

But those are the funnest marriages I find.

And if he is your dynasty you should already have the option to form a NAP, I think.
If that was true I'd have an alliance with Lombardy right now since one of my dynasts (a cousin) managed to get himself elected king. They removed the automatic alliance with dynasts, even close relatives, in 2.5; you can only get NAPs or alliances by marriage ties now.

Yeah, it is true, I can't form non-agression pact with him, I arranged betroyal, but she is still so young.
Conclave purchase messed everything, reset all my laws.
And I assume not only mines'. In several kingdoms, which I gave to dynasty members, now are new rulers usurped king title(I can't figure how), or got it by civil war.
Pity, as I just managed to form new isle of True Faith near Asturias...
