Well, I'm a new player to Vicky/Ricky. I'm currently waging a war against Paraguay as Brazil, and I can't seem to manage to replenish my division's strength! After almost destroying a Paraguayan one, it was back to 5,000ish after a few days, while mine does not regenerate.

I got full budget on Army Maintenance and 16 Manpower in the poll. What am I forgetting to do in order to reinforce my army?

Nevermind that, I found out...

Also, how do I put reserves to my disposition?

EDIT: Lastly, my manpower poll never seem to grow (that's after I got three divisions). What's with that?

You need to convert more POPs to soldiers.

You are either talking about your mobilization pool OR about troops which are ready to deploy.

If it is the mobilization pool you are referring to, what you need to do is go to the military management screen, click on the Mobilize button, then upon the mobilized troops being ready, click upon that small section, allowing you to deploy the troops.

This works the same way for when you receive reserve troops through events.

Alternatively, should you create new divisions and when the time comes to deploy them, you should again click on the military management screen, go to the Recruiting button and then by clicking on it you should able to choose divisions ready to deploy.

Yeah, dumb you... in my first game I played the Ottoman Empire... I fought a war against Egypt and 3 wars against Russia before I figured that out. I was getting so frustrated about my low manpower that I nearly quit!!

Am I wrong in thinking it's mostly people coming from HoI that have problems with this? I mean the way manpower is treated in these two games is completely different. :)

Probably. I'm a HoI II player as well, and the MP system there is pretty much a no-brainer. :p

I think that would be it. I was fortunate enough to have played the original Hearts of Iron so the actually task of reinforcing was similar. Though of course HoI I did not have the population things.
