As usual, in the beginning of a Sultans reign, the Sultan ordered recruitment of more troops. The past wars had taken it share of the armies, but new ones was easily raised. The price for a mans life was low and there where several young men who wanted an oppertunity to prove them self in the Sultans mighty armies. In addition to the raising of new armies, much gold was invested in improve the relations with England, Holland, Tunis and Alger. As for Tunis and Alger this soon payed off, as the joined an alliance created by the Sultan in 1580. As for England and Holland, they where already members of alliances, but the Sultant thought it to be wise to “invest” better relations with them in case the future would hold an oppertunity to invite them. 1580 was also the year when the first governor was promoted. This development of the infrastructure was much welcomed as the Empire now had a way to deal with the rising inflation.
After some years of building up both troops and relationsships the Vizier advised the Sultan to invest in manufacturies. The Sultan followed his vise Vizers suggestions and thus several manufacturies was build through out the empire, most of them was financed by stopping investments, but as the Empire now had the ability to promote governors it caused no inflation.
In 1589 the Empire was strong and agile once again. The Sultan controlled the mightiest army in the world and a target was choisen, Russia. The Russian tsar had been more and more agressive and it was time to teach him a lesson. As the armies of the Empire crossed the borders to Russia, nations such as Austria, Poland and Venice declared war upon the Empire. Austria and Venice was ignored, they had no provinces that was to any interest of the Sultan so the Sultan quickly send them some coffeins of gold to get rid off them. Poland on the other hand had some. Armies was ordered to take out the bordering provinces and when the Polish King offered Ukraine and Poltava, the Sultan accepted. The war against Russia also procced to the Sultans satisfaction, slowly province by province was taken. In 1591 the Russian Tsar offered Alga, Orenburg and Uralsk, the Sultan accepted this offer and the Russians was now cut off from Siberia. As for Siberia, the Sultan didnt want any one in the Empires back, that could threaten him, so the same day as peace was signed with Russia, the Sultan declared war upon the Khanate of Siberia. The Siberians fought bravely but it was only mater of time before the glorius armies of the Empire overwhelmed there entire nation and annexed them.
The last decleration of war, against Siberia, had caused a major outrage among the people. “Siberians are muslims to” the people said. The result was unrest in several provinces. As most of the Empires soldiers was in foreign nations or in the border areas, it took some time to send them against these rebelscums, but as usual the undisciplined rebels had no chanse when facing the Empires soldier in a open battle. Most of the revolting provinces was soon put under the Sultans reign again.
