Registering EU4 Preorder

How will the registering work? I've noticed that quite a few posters here have it on their badge, but when i click on the CD key button on steam nothing comes out. From what i read, this was unintended. (the posters getting it early, that is)

And yes, I used the search function, but it wasn't really helpful and i guess you could say that my real question here is that do i have to check my email or something?

If so, shucks. I hate having to log in to email.:angry:

I haven't received an email, so I imagine it'll be with the CD key function in steam once the game ships.

that's probably randomly determined? I just checked it in my steam library and used the code there to register like you did with crusader kings 2.
market-geography shouldn't be an issue either, since we're from the same region/country (unless you didn't preorder it from steam itself )

I think some Steam folks received a key by accident - as there are certainly none on my preorder so can't get the badge just yet.
