Johan:
I'm a little curious about regional and provincial managment. For example, say I select the 2 province region of Maine in the United States and build 5 factories there. Later on I am invaded by the ruthless and invincible armies of Canada. I cede one of the provinces of Maine (say, Bangor, where I live IRL) to them in a peace treaty.
Maine is now a one province region. So what happens with the Bangor province? Do both Canada and the US now have a 1 province `Maine' region? Does Bangor get added to the New Brunswick region? How many of my five factories do they get?
Ideally, although I suspect it might be too complex to be included, I'd like to see a system where you can define and name your own regions. So, for example, when I annex Canada and get my revenge I can reattach Bangor to Maine, add a couple more provinces to Maine as well, and create a new region out of some conquered provinces called, say, Victory.
I guess the simplest solution is just have pre-defined regions where every country that owned a province from that region had their own version of that region. So you could have three countries each owing a one province Maine, or one country with a three province Maine, but never a four province Maine.
Terribly curious,
Joe
1) 1) Regions are where you build factories and other things.
2) Provinces are mostly for military movement.
Provinces can be ceded in wars, and can change between countries.
For example, Sweden (without Norway) has three regions in the game, while IIRC there's about 25 provinces.
