I and my friend is playing together in multiplayer version 2.3.2; He is playing as an emperor and I am his king rank vassal. He has awarded me designed regent and When his character died, small son has succeeded. So I have become regent of the empire.

The small emperor cannot end wars as the regent can. However I cannot do that as a player, there is not such an event or decision. Maybe It is the same with other decisions that small emperor cannot do because of the regent's will. Please check It and You could fix it within next patch. :eek:o

This is not a bug per say but more a flaw in the design of the game. We are aware of this and are trying to convince the dev team to change things up here, but in the end, it depends on what the dev team think they have time to do, or when.

With all due respect, it's a huge screaming bug when nobody in the realm can end a war. It's not something to negotiate or plead about and not something that the dev team might 'think they have time to do, or when' but something game-breaking that needs immediate attention, just like a warranty repair on a product that doesn't work (even due to a design flaw as opposed to faulty factory line).

This is the same as being unable to hand out like 30 excess demesne titles after winning a crusade under regency due to the regent's Base Reluctance.

You can argue it doesn't contain a mistyped command or missing semicolon in the source code, but it's still a game-breaking bug. And fixing it is not optional, it's absolutely necessary. (Regardless whether the company thinks it has the time or not or the moment is not convenient.)

I think that it comes back to too many of the ideas around regency, especially being based around adding artificial difficulty to the player rather than verisimilitude or gameplay benefits. "Screw you, player, even if your regent is pulling for you." Regency needs an overhaul, for real.

And the difficulty for the sake of difficulty mentality needs to be abandoned, as is the let's change one thing in the game without considering the implications in the big picture mentality.
