To the Stellaris Devs: Will you be able to set a planetary override? For instance if i want everyone on my homeworld in a state of chemical bliss regardless of species? Or have a cheaper living standard on a far off colony?

To other players: Would you be interested in this? How would you use it? Are there any other ideas you have about the living standards system?

I think we need a lot more room to tailor our policies per-planet. What if I want to declare my homeworld sacred and only allow my species there, with no slaves, but allow my species to be slaved on other core worlds and have aliens live there?

More practically (though I'm sure a lot of people would appreciate the RP benefits as shown above), what if I am at war with a big empire with a lot of Very Strong Pops that I want as battle thralls, but don't want ten planets filled with mediocre slaves? Sure, I could conquer the first worlds, make them battle thralls, buy up a bunch of armies, purge the Pops, then use the armies to conquer and purge most of their worlds, then switch them back to battle thralls and conquer their last worlds, but what gameplay benefit is there to forcing me to jump through those hoops to allow this species to survive on just one world?

I like what Wiz said that the whole point of the new system is to reduce micromanagement. Now if they add a notification when I have buildings that can be updated I will be even happier.

They're not serious about reducing micromanagement until building auto-upgrades are in the game. You can't even queue up several upgrades at once! You have to wait for the upgrade to finish before you can start the next one.

Baby steps and yes queuing upgrades would be nice as developing a new planet when you have high tech is a lot of clicks without an option to upgrade to the max level of building.

Yeah you cant build a straight to a level 3 society lab. You have to build a basic lab wait for it to finish then build a level 1 society lab wait for it to finish then build a level 2 etc.

For the same building?

It doesn't work so well for labs because you have to build the lab, build the specialisation, then shift click the yellow corner to queue up levels 2 and 3, but all other buildings you build it, then shift click the yellow corner to queue up all available upgrades.

I like the idea of having the option to micromanage some things. And having the option to set sector or planet policies is just giving the option to players if they choose so.

For example I might like to disable migration for certain planets, while allowing it for the empire in general. Or the already mentioned living standards, I may want to have Utopian living standards in my core worlds but lower ones in sectors.

I like what Wiz said that the whole point of the new system is to reduce micromanagement.
In my opinion micromanagment is good as long as it is optional.
The new system is great, but local overrides that are 100% optional like the one sugested would be dope.

Personally I would love a "planetary override". Like Neutering/displacing a species everywhere, except thier home planet. Basically driving them back to that one planet. A "preserve" of sorts. I may want thier land, not nessesarily thier extinction.

However do consider the option of Neutering and Resettlement. Slaves (of any kind) can always be resetteled, even if I am not sure if that will apply to Battle Thralls. If you got Battle Thralls, you got Neutering too. No need to go super-agressive purging on them.

They're not serious about reducing micromanagement until building auto-upgrades are in the game. You can't even queue up several upgrades at once! You have to wait for the upgrade to finish before you can start the next one.
There is this funny thing called a "Sector". Wich reduces Micromanagement down to near nothing.
One of the changes shown in the Lifestream was a reduction of the Core System Amount, while adding more techs to increase that amount again.

Isn't that what shift-clicking does?
What was meant was:
Queue Multiple upgrades for the same building on the same tile (not similar buildings on other tiles). Like planning all the way from T1 Lab to T4 Social Lab.
