So I feel a little bad for mentioning a hypothetical of a thing that sounds a little grandiose in scope when I haven't started work on it yet nor am I likely to particularly soon, but... I keep thinking about (like, for about two years now) and sketching out details of, a mod that would take the small feast/large feasts/summer fair/grand hunt/etc out of being Intrigue or targeted decisions and a lot (though not all) of the timed-pulse WoL events and instead every season, you get an option for what to do that season. IE, in one winter the options might be: "Hold a great feast", "Secluded Contemplation", "Hear legal cases", "Delve into Scholarship". Idea would be to have more than four possible options per season, which four of those get presented as options being random except that the one most related to your current focus is guaranteed to appear (so Hunting focus always gets Grand Hunt as an option in fall, Carousing always lets you pick a feast/party option if eligible, etc. Would also add a "take a vacation" option in most seasons when not at war, would mean a Regency and event chain similar to Pilgrimage/etc except much smaller in scope, with the main effect being a more reliable way to remove Stressed (though Diligent characters might have trouble relaxing, non-Diligent characters risk Slothful if they're going on vacation a lot, or moving on the Ambitious -> (none) -> Content track...)
Anyway, maybe a little out of scope, but it's just something I think about a lot, and couldn't resist mentioning. In context, this'd mean instead of watching for when the cooldown ticks precisely and then inviting all those people individually, just pick 'Throw a party' as that season's event whenever it's an option and have it mostly auto-invite people (probably best if it skips the lunatic cannibals, unsure whether skipping the wroth paranoids who tend to get punchy should be automatic).
