I has youst read some older topics regard EU province Carniola id=367
and with my nolage i hold myself responsible to sead samthing
But first hers some links so if you check them youl see what is province 367

http://users.erols.com/mwhite28/austhung.htm
Look at this gograficly and historicly corect map and check it with EU
Look were Carniolia is in EU and were is West part of croatia

look at this map
http://www.hic.hr/books/pavlicev/images/s05.gif
( its on croatian but you shudenth hawe problem figure it)
The shape of Croatia that was noth taken from Ottomans is incredbly close to shape of province 367
also http://www.balcanica.org/history/1606-1878.html
and http://www.euratlas.com/big/big1400.htm
(hmmmm this last one have this wird state of Hermann of Cilli..well i live at that spot and newer heard abauth him and his state so if enybady no samthing more  ? )

Also in some ader treds there hawe ben discused that provinces Odenburg and Presburg are/was/and stil are Hungarioan provinces :)
so if wee no this 2 provinces shuld be Hungarian at start...and look at shape of "carniola" who is on location of Western Croatia
( that part that was noth concuerd by Ottomans)

well I come to conclusion it was an error....and strangly nobady see it

So at last province 367 shuld be renamed To Croatia and with Odenburg and Presburg be given to HUN/CRO at start of game
At last look at this maps and sey what you finkh abauth this ?

P.S. Sory for spelling

The problems with these provinces have been brought up quite often, and I'm sure that Paradox has paid great attention to them. The screenshots have shown that they are doing their best to make the boundries a bit more historical...

It is nice that you want the maps to be historical, but you have to understand - it is just not possible for all maps to be historical at all times, as borders changed so often and often by so little, it would require the map to be alterted and re-rendered every few years.

We need abstraction!

(Could you show theese maps to your goverment, please, to hasten the negotiations about your northeren border?)

Where the borders in eastern Europe and the balkan regions should be, largely depends on who you ask. :D

What we have to remember is that the *first* decision Paradox must make is how many provinces they want to divide that region into (depending on how big they want EU provinces to be). Only then can they start figuring out which provinces belong to whom, and how big they all are, and how they fit together. The end result will, of necessity, not look like the real maps of the time because they changed so often and in so many details.

Provinces as used in EU don't necessarily bear any resemblance to genuine governmental divisions of a country IRL. They certainly don't in England, which is the one country I know most about - England was divided into about 60 provinces, and putting all of those into the game would be ridiculous, but I'm sure there are some people in Durham, Chesterfield and the like complaining that their land shouldn't be included as "Yorkshire." At the end of the day it doesn't really matter that much - it's only an abstraction, and they can only make the map reasonably accuarate at the level of abstraction they use, not at any greater level of precision than that.

I'd very much like to see a screenshot on the Balkans. (Speaking of screanshots, isn't it time for the next installment?) It would certainly be interesting. However, it would probably also mean some overtime for the moderators.

He was Siegesmund of Luxemberg's chief advisor and supporter in Hungary, originally a nobleman from Styria. The Cillei family went on to become on of the most powerful families in Hungary and the most important enemy of the Hunyadies. I don't know anything about them after Mathias became king in 1458, I reckon their lands in Hungary were confiscated.

as i already said, we should finally get at least an answer to all these questions. i mean, come on people, it's important and really not so hard to do.
