The Holy Fury expansion is going to add mechanics where you can modify a religion that you are reforming.

According to some sources. a lot of the pagans that "converted" to Christianity basically just added Jesus / God to their existing pantheon. There are stories of people praying and sacrificing to both the Christian as well as their pagan deities.

Would it not be logical that at least one of the options would be to assimilate parts of another religion into your own (IE. Norse accepting Jesus as another deity)?

I don't know how this would be represented in game mechanics, but the simplest solution would be some kind of sympathy / tolerance toward that religion.

It seems that the historical action you are looking for will be covered by Mass Conversion, but if you insist on reforming the faith in order for your people to accept others' deities, might I suggest a Cosmopolitan Reformation?

I guess that Cosmopolitan Reformation would work, although that seems more like a secular society than syncretism, where you take parts of another culture / religion, and integrate them into your own.

The original idea was that you would still be the same religion after reforming, with the exception that you accepted 1 more deity in your pantheon.

edit:
Cosmopolitan Nature - "... we all worship the same gods, just in different ways."
Ok, Cosmopolitan Nature might not be as "secular" as I remembered

Part of Nazi Germans (eg. Ernest Renan, Alfred Rosenberg) created own neopaganic/esoteric religion/cult, where Jesus was aryan hero or avatar of Baldur or something other. So "acceptation of Jesus" doesn't have to be the same like a "acceptance of the christian mentality".

If it would be "just adding Jesus as a name" I'd say it wouldn't worth perk slot and coding work.
If it would be accepting Christianity, all other gods would be demoted and merged into saints, like it worked historically.

Way was in other side. Saint Wit (Święty Wit) has become a Światowid in west Slavic world.

No pagan god has become a Christian saint.

Perun merged into Saint Iliya, for example.

Saint Elijah is old-hebrew holy...

Or maybe Jews took Perun and rewrite them into Elijah? Joke
Pagan gods did not become new saints, but pagan cults were "merged" into the cults of saints (cults in the literal sense): as in, missionaries encouraged devotees of this or that god to venerate this or that saint, instead.
