I have a dream that this Russian will die heirless. Anything I can do other than pray?

They will more likely than not get an heir. Outside of being killed in battle as a general, I don't even think leaders can die of natural causes until at least in their early 50s or so. That's just a hunch; I don't have hard data on that.

If you have finished the Diplomatic idea group, you can marry and break marriages without a stability penalty. It makes this stuff a bit easier.
