Redirechting issues

Since the last days, I have sometimes been getting errors when trying to load the forums on my Macbook Pro laptop.


I use Safari and Chrome browser.

I have not had this problem before the forum when to scheduled maintenance a few days ago. It's a bit annoying when I cant access the forum due to this error.

Please note that I use http://forum.paradoxplaza.com to access the forum. Then the redirects happen automatically.

Yeah I've had the same issue on iOS for the past few days.

Win 7 - 64 bit using Firefox, same issue. All cookies related to paradox had to be wiped.

It's not the solution for me. I cleared my cookies and I still have this issue in this very moment on my Macbook Pro laptop. I had to switch machine to write this message.
On my iPhone I get the same problem!

I cleared all cookies in my browser on the Macbook Pro. I don't have the issue on this machine but on the Macbook Pro and the iPhone I cannot access the forum because of redirect error.

Strange. Try posting in one of the other redirection threads too; perhaps somebody has another idea for a solution.

I hope somebody like @Castellon or another mod has a solution to this problem. It makes interacting with the forum difficult, especially when being on mobile and one keeps getting redirect error.

Edit: So now I can access the forum against from my Macbook Pro. However, there are now some lag spikes which are not related to my internet connection. I can load other sites just fine. This is odd.

I have this problem on my Android. Clearing cookies allows me to access the forums, but I have to re-clear every time I log out before I can get back in.

I am getting this as well, on Windows 8.1 and Firefox. (I got here by searching for "Paradox forums" on my search engine. That worked; my saved link to the forums did not.)

Yep, experienced the same as others. Forum stopped loading Friday night, cleared cookies on Saturday morning (after using Chrome's incognito mode to see if that would get me in and seeing pevergreen's post in the other thread). Clearing cookies worked and the forum was fine all day but then this morning back with the redirect loop error.

It's a pity this bug has cropped up because before this weekend the forum hadn't even kicked me out of my Paradox Plaza account in over a month!

I'm not sure what the true issue is, but logging in at the paradox main website before visiting the forums seems to fix it for me. It's probably an issue they have with their login redirecting too much but my html and server skills are slim to none. Hopefully they will resolve this soon.

Also don't bother deleting your cookies if it's like my issue. It will just pop up the next day after and it's a pain to relog into every damn website after clearing cookies.

You can also just clear cookies for a certain website like the PDX forum. You don't have to clear all your cookies

It's probably because its weekend that nobody from PDX has replied yet. Hoping for a reply for tomorrow.

I've found a solution, at least for IOS. Instead of going to the forums, go to the accounts page. You will have a link to it, as that is one of the pages in the redirect loop. You will have to log in, but it is a inconvenience that allows you to get to the forum. I don't know why it works, but it does.
