Redesigning ship, leaving AE patronage and Zro

Two quick questions for my current game as it is coming to an end:

1st I want to redesign my ships, but the save button is greyed out with the message "A ship of that design is currently being built". You guessed it, there definitely is no ship of that design being build (I have only one starbase with shipyards, so I am pretty sure). I had ordered a fleet refilled but cancelled the build order when I noticed that an upgrade was due. What can I do to make the game realize that there are no ships being build? I already restarted the game of course.

2nd War in Heaven happened and I joined an AE (I was Spiritualist so I thought it fitting to join the Spiritualists). The war is over and we won (duh). Can I somehow leave by Overlord peacefully? I noticed that I can DOW him with the war goal independence, but I also noticed that I can ask my Overlord to be released. However, it has a base change of -50 and opinion doesn't seem to influence it at all (otherwise I could just donate Dark Matter).

3rd Is it just bad luck that thee is no Zro in my galaxy? I went for psionic ascension, but without zro, no PSI shields.

Go to fleet manager, select each of your fleets, see which has ships scheduled but not progressing, click those ships to cancel them.

Donations to fallen empires definitely don't change opinion. I don't know about awakened ones.

Zro is crazy rare, although it's supposed to be a bit less rare in the beta. The spiritualist FE is supposed to have some, AFAIK

Are you on 2.3 or 2.2? I know that in 2.3 they increased the spawn rate of Zro. If non has spawned anywhere in your galaxy you may just be shit out of luck.

Well, right on top. There was a battleship build stuck in another starbase without a shipyard. It was a conquered one and probably had a shipyard but I redesigned the starbase. Before the shipyard was replayed through, I must have ordered reinforcements, the build started, the shipyard was replayed and the build just stopped. That also explains why I could not fully reinforce that one fleet, thank you.

There seems to be no Zro in this galaxy. A pity, oh well, I guess I will just finish the game as the AEs Dominion vassal, since I am fanatical spiritualist, it wouldn't be right to leave my spiritualist overlords like some protestant.

Yeah, zro is a little more common in 2.2.3 I have gotten it in a few of my more recent games, but it is still pretty rare. In 2.2 I was not seeing it at all iirc.
