Like if i play Germany i use transfer of brigades by redeploying a lot. About half of my units have brigades and then i shift around to where they are needed. Like frrom westfront to eastfront or MP brigades from where partisan activity are lower to where its higher etc etc.

The thing is that its not any qualifying unit that can take the brigade when its available. And if i try the trick while in a puppet or ally the brigade is lost.

Any having some details about how exactly this redeploying system works? I find it very usefull to use since there is no reason to brigade every army unit and the need of them change.

I´m not sure if this is what you were asking for. Redistributing brigades only works if you´re connected to the province where you removed the brigade. E.g. tha artillery brigade of the Germans in Königsberg can only be reassigned if the unit that carrys this brigade is shipped to the rest of Germany by TP. The same applies IIRC when you remove a brigade in another country: you can only reassign that brigade to another unit that is present in that country.

It is hard to explain this matter and mine is rather poor. But u got it right anyway. I use it as part of my IC-save strategy: use brigades on division i expext to go into combat - guarding armyunits rarely need anything axcept MP brigades and also these temporary.

But does it explain this: If i take a brigade off a unit in France (after Vichy that is) and i wanna take it to an area like USSR during barbarossa then its not all - but still some of - units i can assign this brigade to in an occupied provinse. I mean: i can't see the system/rule if there is any. At some point i thought that only unit that stayed in same provinse could recieve that brigade. But later on i was able to assign a brigade to a moving or moved armyunit. Only thing im certain of is that if i do it in a puppet state i loose that brigade: cant get it out of the redeployment cew - so such a brigade is lost.

I think you can redeploy into same type province (regardless if unit or brigade):

occupied to occupied (after Vichy, the rest of France is owned while until BP the SOV provinces are occupied)

owned or puppet to owned or puppet

Of course, you need a land connection to redeploy.
