yessir, It's really surprising Oe's good will towards Austria, I even tested their loyalty in private messeges, and he did pass the test successfully.

BTW, gentleman bluelotus, I need to share some ideas with you about many aspects of the present context. I'm going to send a letter as proper.
Why are you surprised at Krisz' good will? An OE - Austria alliance is strong as we can focus on more fronts together while leaving 1 front undefended. The same is why the Portugal-Spain alliance is normally strong, and also in this game's case France-England.

France would noway be able to field so many men against me in battle if he had to leave 50-100k on the northern coast just in case England decided to help me out. The same for me if OE was not my ally.

If Spain-Austria isn't seen as an alliance in this game, I don't see why France-England is seen as one...

He did quite often embargo me. But now it's pretty clear his alliance is strong enough to control the rest of the countries.
Portugal/Spain/Austria/OE have got only little less income then ALL other countries together. And MP isn't that much less than the MP of all other countries as well.
Add to that that certain countries that could oppose the PSAO alliance dont really have much incentive for doing so (such as Russia).

If noone manages to break up that alliance (with OE being the only one with any realistic possible gain from that), the game was already won when everyone let Portugal take all the CoTs.

Let Spain die? Exaggeration, thy name is Engel.
My total demands from Spain weren't that much. It was just that he would not accept losing Genoa.

Which ofcourse is different to saying that my alliances at the moment are imba... ;)

If you remember early game I was pitted with Spain against England, France, Brandenburg and Ottomans. Something which damaged Spain badly and which Spain still hasn't really recovered from. Austria though, survived through a bit of luck and diplomacy - something which will come your way sometime I'm sure. :)

Actually Spain would have recovered easily if it hadn't kept fighting so long. Or had not had its civil war shortly after the war. Or if Ear hadn't quit.

You crushed me the session after that already...which damaged France badly...

Interesting to note that all games seem to end up with such static alliances, despite early hopes, the oe-austrian frozen border annoys me especially

(just speaking as a player here, long given up on trying to influence this sort of thing as gm :D )

Yet you mention nothing of the frozen Spanish-Portuguese boarder or the semi alliance of England and France.

Porto-Spain is not going to be a dynamic border, i think that is pretty generally accepted

French English alliance is a tad annoying too, but they don't really have a border to fight over, and France doesn't have any other options with an unfriendly OE.

Yeah well, Grabah peaced way too quickly in that 2nd war. I was maybe 2 months away before DoWing and I had told Grabah to wait, while I built up and deployed as an offensive war a CRT down is hard work...

... but he peaced and said something like: 'my allies have abandoned me' so I thought: meh.

And I'm allied to OE, not Portugal and Spain. I was just helping out the enemy of my enemy while you had Turenne. ;)
in my defence i have to say i didn't really had choice.
france was assaulting my forts per will, and wining every time, i couldn't do nothing to stop them, and he allready started to stab hit me for genova.
at the end i would end up -3 stab, half or more iberia occupied, and without any possibility to raise new army, and both aus and oe where also crt down, so victory was'nt certan even when they join the fight, surrender and fight another day was only reasonable option..

EDIT: and btw on alliances, france could offer something more than threats and empty promises if they want our friendship..

Niether do I with a crappy Spain. Last time I relied on Spain alone, was the last time I lost a war badly.
