As I said I dont think NA should have a COT.... IN the future it'll pop up a COT there anyway... Its ahistorical and ilogical a Center of Trade in North America before the Major European Powers arrive there.

I quite agree. And in Ryo mod new COTs rise quite soon anyway.

(Now, taking on account that Ryo made all minors have small forts and the like -I am thinking of the thread on the Dismemberment game- maybe no North American minors?)

I am against Minimal event option, tg.

It isnt only what you explained, but it make all countries have only 6-7 events during all the campaign!!! Plz turn it off.

Didnt like it also. Better off.
Also, the COT in NA should be off also.

That's exactly the problem. In the AOD games I've played, the COT pops up in Greenland... in northern Quebec... totally ahistorical, and ridiculous.

Since it will appear within a few years with minors turned on, it makes sense to put it in a sensible place. Better for gameplay and history to have it in Manhattan.

Well, small COTs -unless flooded by traders- tend to disappear. Anyway, I'm going to defend what Juv defended in the thread of Dismemberment: We could need then very small NA minors (almost no forts or populations). No reason to have large cities in the interior of NA (specifically for historical reasons).

Nice, Discussions :D..... that's what I wanted... :D....

Ok, on NA minors... I leave it too you actually, I'm not pretty fond myself.. but I was thinking about a little help to occupy the area, otherwise would be a eternal bleed of money to keep colonizing... one option would be to reduce all forts to minimal... thoughts?

On that CoT in NA, what Arco points out it's right, in this mod, CoTs pops out like rabbits :p... so.. yeah, no problem in removing that CoT... but what about Paris' one?

Actually no, I was mentioning Hamachi in order for Fraese to play at his home, not to host; the host is still Javi and his nazi modem :p... also, that way Arco and I might improve our connections too ;)....

:p

I'm having 2MB download-around 500kb upload. Hope it's enough for a smooth gaming. but I'd say it'll work at 75% of its capability because of my geographical situation. it depends, many factors, factors that I defined as "nazi" because they turns my connection really selective, the sucker. :D

The Iroqois confederacy was a highly organized military machine, and was very difficult to defeat, a factor in military conflicts up through the war of 1812. Don't write off natives too easily.

I don't know why you think the NA COT is extremely small... it is above 300 when I columbus'd the map at the start. With all the native tribes in the area, I don't see why it would dissapear.

Everyone is wrong, I am right :D

I'd say Paris's COT isn't important. Flanders/Amsterdam COT was much more important. We could give it a COT in the west coast of France or none.

There's no need of being historical here  my thoughts about NA minors is, as I said before, some aid to help colonizers start getting a foot into NA, like Maya or Chimu is for Spaniards in CA and SA.

IF there is no natives, COT in NA will be small. That was my point: That when no COT in NA when no natives, the COT appears in any part, then it will be small and it can disappear.

And regarding Iroquois. Well, China was not conquered in the XVIII century, now do you remember any game when China does not lost their best provinces the moment is possible. The same about India or whatever place on earth. The fact that in RL the Iroquois were well organized and the like is not that relevant as the fact that they will in-game be conquered 30 years after first european land (prolly before), and having large cities in the interior of NA in 1650's is way unhistorical.

Btw, here's a somewhat updated player roster:

- the_genius (OE)
- Arcorelli (RUS)
- Casluerj (FRA)
- Javier (Pibe) (BRA)
- Camisa10 (SPA)
- Gaius Marius (POR)
- Elijah (SWE)
- Fraese (?)
- Delosandes (confirmation needed, wanted, demanded )

Subs
- MarkDey

We're missing (if the countries in parenthesis are correct choices for you) an ENG and an AUS *glares at Delos and Fraese* :D

If any objections, we can easily move Caslu out of FRA :p

Looking at the save it seems Ryo put the capitals at medium fortification and the rest at small. Maybe have the capitals small and the rest minimal? And reduce populations...

NA is one of the easiest parts of the world to colonise (specially the eastern seaboad): Low cost, high rate of success. It is not like colonizing Africa :D

If you need a foothold to colonise in NA, well you better chose a country that don't make colonies at all ;)

Anyway, minimal forts, low populations. I really don't want huge cities in Ohio in 1650 ;) Now, if we are going to put the NA minors, put the COT in the coast.

Regarding the french COT. I think is a thing of balance. It makes France stronger, and they need it in the scenario.

Yep, move Caslu out of FRA :D

Now, first time ENG is not one of the first taken countries. Weird ;) And no one wants a life of war, no stinking-colonization? Choose Austria. You know that you want it.

Yeah, he's a sadist... I vote for reduce all forts to minimal and reduce pops too, of course..... Ryo has a fond for natives  :p ... in another of his scenario, there were too big and with nice techs and all...
