I think Portugal is more important than Brandenburg for a balanced scenario, except if we use random explorers and conquistadores. I think Brandenburg played only makes the HRE life shorter

Yep, so basically we are looking for a 8 nation setup. So is the nations Caslu said more BRA or POR (Although right now we have 7 players, MDey has not said if we will be able to play).

I'd definitely feel more comfortable starting with 9 or 10 on this scenario, given the size of the map and some slack in case someone has to quit (as always happens)

Sub Saharan Minors: There are countries in Africa (Mali, Congo and the like)
COT Shuffling: COTs were you expect them to be (COT in Paris, Liguria, Venice etc.)
The improved distribution, no idea actually.
The Spa/Otto Boost: they start with better techs (or with better research to the techs). Basically, try to make them more powerful than the other countries, like they were historically.

Seriously now, since ATE1 I want to play France, but dont know why TG never gave me it ... Now with the new map, France is a must for me.

About the options, I'm going with these:

And yeah, as Cas said, before filling BB or POR posts, we should complete majors ones. If we, at the end, have extra players then it's time to fill minors. I would say BB before POR, although I have a fond for POR, Germany it's too important in these scenario that leaving it just for Austria and a possible land Sweden it's not quite a good idea; after BB, POR would be the next to be filled, also because as always, Ryo doesn't add the AI settings for majors

On regard of random leaders, yes, I'm going to add them, using the same generator we use in AtE2, it was easy and everyone will know when and how are going to get them..

I would ask for NA minors = ON also then.
If so, I can let Caslu have his France, and I will take England as he wants so much to play France.

And with this map making a English Empire or Spanish one can be fun... my fear with Spain is that I am not much of a economic player and spain is a little overwelmhin...err..sic... to much of everything... colonization, war, trade, etc...
