Hello fellas, we are here recruiting effectives for the next awesome campaing in the EU2 MP forum: Americans take Europe 3 .

We are going to use the recent popular mod R.yoken's Age of Discovery:

As you can see, it's a new and improved variation of the original game, applying the excelent map designed by Kasperus.

Actually the roster has the confirmation of (Updated Feb 2nd):

A nice group of people waiting for a few extra more to begin this great campaign.

Right now, we are only starting to gather people, afterwards, we will begin with the nations assignments. You can start posting your preferred options . Also, later on, we will discuss stuff about rules (I'll post later my set of rules that I've used before so you can start knowing them), scenario configuration, etc.

We are going to play every tuesday night at 8pm EST (Eastern USA Time) or 1am GMT or 9pm Caracas-Santiago or 10pm Brasil.

Ah... I have a sugestion... land slider locked at 5, as in Balance of Power... we have a lot of naval nations with this. Gets more interesting than having some at naval 10 and others at land 10...

That time really works for me.

Since recruiting seems to be going strong, let me throw this idea out there:

Have me start as Hungary, to give a little more balance to the center, before moving to the NL when appropriate. This fixes what seems to me an early balance issue between the Ottomans and Austria in Hungary, and then adds another colonizer/trader on a huge map that has enormous space for colonization and lots of CoT's.

I should add that I'd play from campus to avoid connection problems that prevent me from playing at my home; campus network is pretty good, even on wireless, so I could be a backup host if needed.

How do I do to download the map and the scenario file we will use?

Will we use random leaders togheter with the normal ones (Iam thinking specially in random explorers and admirals)? If I get Sweden I would like to be able to colonize a little.

Maybe with this map the small AI countries will survive for more time in the HRE and Italy, hehe... and we wont have a 1914-1918 map by 1600...

If the French, Austrian and Sweden player get an agreement we could have a rule avoiding too many force-anexations in there

Well, I wouldn't bet on it. Lots of vassalizations, then diplo-annexations, and higher than average BB. Also, definitely need a Brandenburg, I think.

We are looking for the usual 8 countries setup of ATE: Spain, England, France, Austria, Brandenburg, Sweden, Ottoman Empire, Russia plus possibley Portugal (they are quite good in this scenario, with a large MP).

And I am thinking of playing Brandenburg (now that I think of, I never played them in MP) or Austria.

And, Camisa, you will need to download the AoD from Ryo site (www.r y o k e n.us). And you could need to make a copy of your current EU2 directory and install the mod in that new directory.

I think Portugal is more important than Brandenburg for a balanced scenario, except if we use random explorers and conquistadores. I think Brandenburg played only makes the HRE life shorter
