In my pillaging I find that the "recent uprising" modifier only seems to apply to provinces at random - I often go 3+ uprisings before I see the modifier applied to a province I'm pillaging. Is this a bug or am I missing some bit of info?

Has anyone else experienced this? Known issue? (I couldn't find it, if so.)

Maybe I'll just have to alternate tactics between rulers. One generation expands, the next spends time saving up money, burning unnecessary castles and temples to the ground, and squashing religious uprisings...

So you might have a sunni uprising, no recent uprising is applied. When additional forces join that uprising, the modifier is then applied to the county they spawn in.

Ah, that explains it, then. I've squashed uprisings in other locations before they ever gained additional forces - only since I've been playing in the huge provinces of the east have they been able to last for very long. Thanks!

I find myself playing on 4x speed even during war when single days can matter out there - otherwise everything moves at a glacial pace.
