Recent Steam Update (Nov 1 2013?)

This morning (November 1) when I opened Steam there was an update to EU Rome Gold.
Can anyone tell me what this update entailed?
The update may have been available yesterday, but it occurred when I logged into steam today.
I was curious what changes were made in this new update.
I was very pleased and appreciative that the program continues to be supported and updated!

The latest patch is a beta version from the 30th of august. Steam has a tendency to be slow updating stuff...

The problem with that theory is that the beta was not distributed by Steam. No idea what that update might have been, to be honest, but it wan't the beta.

There is an option in Steam where you choose to update to beta versions - I don't have Rome for Steam though, so wouldn't know whether it's got it...
In any case the OP should definitely run with the latest beta, it's a beauty

I'm wondering that too, especially since non-Steam version hasn't got any updates recently.

I know there is, but this beta was not on it. Paradox use that facility for CK2 and EU4 beta testers and access is restricted to them. Rome (and EU3 etc) never used that facility. The only time it's been publicly used is to give people access to CK2 1.092 so that can play old mods.

Interesting, didn't know that it was only CK2 they'd done it for.
