Received Game before it is out on Steam

I have just received Crusader Kings 2 from Amazon but it cannot be installed because it does not come out on steam until Tuesday 14th, is this an error or am I being stupid?

You need to wait like the rest of us..

The game will unlock for you at the same time as steam does it (since you have to activate it on steam)
