Nice, I bet the AI has started production of Militia already.

Very nicely taking apart the USA.

If I were Colombia, I'd join the Andean Entente (or whatever you've called that alliance of Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia).

Also, it's imperative that you defeat the US before Japan strikes, or they'll be in the Allies and you will have no rest until all the allies are defeated.
Which, given the AI, could prove problematic.

This looks really nice!
The plans for the US will indeed be interesting. But I assume that you only will take your core provinces.
BTW. Did you create an event to get all of these cores or was it a part of a mod?

Sorry i haven't updated this in a while. I have been pretty busy lately with working and playing other games. Anyway, here is a new update.

The Spanish army conquers Baltimore, and marches into Washington DC, the heart of the United States.
battleofwashington.png

The city falls to General Garcia Valino's mechanized infantry once the lone division of US motorized infantry is forced to retreat. The US leadership flees the city for Virginia, vowing to retake their capital and never to surrender.

After beating back a sizeable US army counteroffensive and surrounding and annihilating several US divisions in New York State, the Spanish positions in the Northeast are secured. By April 29th, 1942, the frontlines look like this.
frontlinesapril29th1942.png

Not only has Spain taken washington DC, but the US has been cut in two, from North Dakota all the way to Texas.

Las Vegas, which has so far held up the majority of the western army forces in bitter stalemate, is cut off when Spanish troops take Reno to the north. The Spanish army then attacks from all sides, and the American garrison of 60,000 troops, including 100 new Sherman tanks, is forced to surrender.

With continuing stalemate in the south along the Mississippi, freshly mobilized divisions of Spanish troops invade the American rear area at Florida, landing in Tallahassee.

While Spanish troops strike to the Northwest, through the rocky mountains.

A major crisis situation begins to develop as the Americans begin a massive spring offensive in the center of the front. Spanish troops try their best to hold their ground, but in lots of places they are forced to retreat. All they can do is counterattack where they can and try to buy time for more troops to arrive.

Meanwhile the city of Miami is cut off and forced to capitulate after an intense battle with an American armored division. Also notice the Spanish airforce bombing the port of Miami, and the large amounts of US navy warships stationed there.

The American offensive continues unabated. It becomes clear that they are trying to strike northward, hoping to cut off any spanish troops in the northern US states. Unfortunately, the Spanish army is practically helpless to stop them.

Finally, the first wave of Brazilian army reinforcements arrives. It is hoped that they will be able to turn the tide decisively in favor of the Spanish empire.

At sea, the Spanish carrier fleet runs into a powerful US navy battleship group commanded by Admiral Fletcher. The Spanish carriers attack, damaging the battleship USS Colorado, while the american cruisers damage the escorting Spanish destroyers. Both sides then disengage without incurring any heavier losses.
battleofyucatanchannel.png

The entire Spanish frontlines in the north collapse under the unstoppable American advance. Franco orders that all Spanish forces in the north retreat to Colorado, which they are able to do successfully. The collapse in the north is a huge upset for the Spanish army.

However, a new opportunity presents itself. The Americans have severely undermanned their southern positions in order to make this final offensive, and seeing their weakness, the Spanish army attacks. They are able to breakout from Florida while at the same time breaking the American lines along the Mississippi river. They are also able to force the surrender of 30,000 US troops in the city of Biloxi.
battleofbiloxi.png

However, bad news comes from the northeast. US troops there have launched a large offensive, taking Baltimore and cutting Washington DC off from the rest of the front. The Spanish navy is able to successfully evacuate the 30,000 strong Spanish Mechanized infantry corps from the city through the Potomac, and they are transported to New Jersey. The US then retakes the city of Washington DC, and once again make it their capital, a huge propaganda coup for the US government.

However, the Spanish offensive in the south accelerates, and with the arrival of more Brazilian troops, is able to keep up the momentum and continue the advance. Nearly all the southern US states are in Spanish hands.
southernspanishoffensive.png

A US counterattack in Georgia results in 20,000 US troops with 100 Sherman tanks led by MacArthur being encircled and destroyed at Macon.
battleofmacon.png

When the Spanish army arrives in Ohio, they end up cutting off the entirety of the Northern US states from the rest of the country. All of the US troops there are suddenly cut off from supply, and a decisive breakthrough in the war is now in Spain's grasp.
giantencirclement.png

10,000 US troops are forced to surrender after a short battle for the city of Seattle, the last major Pacific port city under US control.
battleofseattle.png

The Spanish air force is ordered to destroy what remains of the US navy at Norfolk, Virginia. The Air force flies sorties everyday, with the USAAF helpless to stop it.
bombingnorfolk.png

The US navy takes immense losses at Norfolk, with ALL of its remaining Aircraft carriers and half of its battleships being destroyed in port.

Nice to see this AAR is still going.

The US had me worried there for a bit, glad to see the situation is under control. I still wan't to know if you are looking for a negotiated peace or a full conquest.

Nice update though.

It's all over bar the shouting.

These are my plans for the end of the war. Think of it as an American treaty of Versailles.
postwarplans.png

The USA is to be reduced to regional power status, with 100 IC worth of its factories being disassembled and shipped to the Spanish homeland. It's puppet mastery over Liberia and the Philippines is to be revoked, its remaining navy is to be scrapped, along with its airforce, and all US territorial claims on newly spanish territories will be revoked.

Politically the rump USA will be forced to give up its guarantees of independence to all of the remaining south american nations, and its policy sliders are to be bumped all the way back to dove and isolationism. A dissent penalty of 20% is also to be added to represent an angry US public that has been forced to endure a humiliating defeat.

The CSA will be set free as a new Spanish Empire puppet state, minus the states of Florida and Texas. The Confederacy will be used to help maintain Spanish power in north America, by supplying troops and ships to help in any further conquests.

Making this happen in the game is the hard part. I know nothing about making events. Does anyone who read this AAR know how to make an event like this? Or should I just make a request in the event request thread?

Ingame, if you puppet USA, they will give you your cores and you can release them after you have declared war on the rest of Ameria to void their guarantees. However, if you liberate CSA, a nation that you have cores on, I don't know what will happen (I am not a puppet friendly person). As fdr IC, they are bound to have lost a lot with your conquest and CSA anyhow.

If you liberate the CSA, you will mantain your COREs over your new puppet.

Viden said:

True. However, CSA has cores even on Washington, so if you want to be able to liberate both US and CSA, making an event would be the best solution.

If you're not good at making events, you can use HoI2 Editor to do so. It's a lot easier making events if you have an editor.
Oh and Viden, sorry but I had to use that Kosovo is Serbia part for my sig too (except I wrote one line in Serbian). I hope you don't mind :)

It seems like the USA doesn't have long left, good job. :)

Never understood why that card would never untap. I mean, tapping is an action. Okay, he comes into play with an action (tap), thats fine, but why cant he untap?

Is that the LOTR edition?

Such a good AAR too bad its abandoned...
