Actually... I might be on the Thursday stream with HBS as well. Not 100% confirmed yet, but I might be there! :)

Bug Report, content was double posted. At least that is how it appears on my IPAD. Last post on page 1 and first post on page 2.

I am looking forward to Thursday stream. Hopefully it will include a mech fight, either skirmish, PVP or campaign.

Aparently not. I have a feeling its working as intended since they dodged question in qa

:rolleyes:

The impression I have got is that it was working as intended for the stream builds, but discussions took place as to whether or not it could / should be changed. Not directly answering the question in that case is not a 'dodge', because the issue wasn't internally a solved matter at the time.

I think it makes sense from a design perspective to leave it the way it is, because a lot of new players are going to be relying on the stock builds & asking brand new players to kit out a blank vehicle in the mechlab is going to be intimidating for them.

So, if you're one of what are likely to be many people that don't want to fiddle with the mechbay right away, having newly salvaged mechs be blank slates kind of ruins the reward.

There are certainly other considerations, though, like flavor, game balance, etc, that might have tipped the scales away from auto-stock salvaged mechs.

My internet was being really crappy and I posted that thing twice. Couldn't really get back to the forum until now :p but thanks for letting me know!

For Thursday... I could either continue with the Campaign (while you guys ask questions to HBS) or leave the Campaign for Monday and maybe do some random cool Skirmish? Don't know... 4 Atlas vs 4 King Crabs? Any combination like that you guys would like to see or should I continue doing procedural contracts in the Campaign?

I vote for skirmish.

Draconis Combine (Panther, Jenner, Dragon, Dragon) VS Lyran Commonwealth (Commando, Wolverine, Griffin-1s, Zeus)

For the Coordinator!

Every mech has the stock loadout available for reference in the mechbay, so new players can see what it is “supposed” to have plus the Opfor mechs are all stock IIRC.

What they could do is include a button which gives you an option to equip your mech according to stock equipment, automatically taking what you have in store.

Then again, since you can check the stock layout in the mech bay, it isn't really necessary, especially since most players want to modify as soon as possible.

I will probably use stock in the beginning.

This is the simgame JSON from the beta (contents will probably be a bit different in the released game)

"StartingLance" : [
"mechdef_commando_COM-2D",
"mechdef_shadowhawk_SHD-2H",
"mechdef_panther_PNT-9R",
"mechdef_urbanmech_UM-R60",
],
"StartingMechWarriors" : [
"pilot_sim_starter_dekker",
"pilot_sim_starter_shoe",
"pilot_sim_starter_medusa",
"pilot_sim_starter_trigger",
]

We already know this has changed, you get a Vindicator and Spider instead of the Commando and Urbie, and Pilots Glitch and Behemoth instead of Shoe and Trigger.

Chat questions to HBS would be amazing. :bow:

We have not seen the Pre-Release Skirmish Mode yet, it would really offer a chance to put the AI through it's paces.

Might I suggest a Mech from each weight class, at least one jumper... and incorporate a Catapult K2... : )

The issue is solved. They are not going through design decisions 6 days to launch. This is feature locked. And it's a decision that makes no sense. Salvage parts are perfect pristine parts of mech s that easily assemble in immediatly.?There needs to be a serious time sink. This magic of inst a build with perfect weapons is dumb. I can only hope there is an option in the json file to tweak it.

He just gathered together three parts to make a Panther, which came fully loaded.

Hard to tell if the items came from his own stocks though. Would have to know if that PPC was in his storage before.
