Keep in mind, that the 'instant build with stock loadout' is a "bug". When you construct a mech from salvage, it will have zero equipment so you will end up having to equip it (which takes time).

Was this confirmed by devs? Don't get me wrong, I hope like hell it's a bug, but I got the feeling from the non-official confirmation that it was likely being discussed internally as to keep it this way or not. There are some pretty non-trivial game design reasons to keep it that way, despite the breaking of immersion/logic, extra ease of game and power of salvage it brings, and the general feeling of "this is wrong!"-ness it brings.

The only streamers with extremely current builds are the guys at Paradox, and they only stream for one hour a week! So far, they haven't killed enough enemies to put together a 'Mech. We can tell from their stream that the number of parts to put together a new 'Mech hasn't changed, though. It's still three:

BTW, if HBS put difficulty sliders or toggle switches into the settings as options, we'd never know it even if the PDX guys had it in their game unless they accessed the options menu.
Which once again, would be pointless to ask them to demonstrate one day before release. We'll just have to accept what we get.

The only thing I wish I could mod are the starting pilots. I'm not sure why we're forced with them, and instantly hiring new ones at the start is kind of annoying?
