I'm trying to mod the 1066 starting position for the Kingdom of England, and put myself and my girlfriend and some other friends into power.

I've figured out how to replace a character, like William the Conquerer, with my name and a new dynasty and such, but I've got a few other problems:

1. William's wife is dog-ugly, and my girlfriend will kill me if that is her avatar. Is there anyway to see what DNA produces what picture without reloading the game each time to check?

2. How do I find and get rid of the kids? Also, I'd like to get Normandy off my hands and just give it to the French.

3. The trait 'lustful' is not showing up. I entered it like this:

traits = {
lustful = yes
just = yes
proud = yes
knowledged_tactician = yes
}

And everything shows up except lustful.

1. Use DNAmaker. It's thread should be on the first (or at worst second) page, since it's been bumped up recently.

2. For kids, two options. Easier one is to F12->DIE them all in game. Harder is to remove them from the scenario files, which needs you to track them all down using father entries.

About Normandy, it's a bit trickier, especially if you want to remove the kids. Your eldest son is duke of Normandy, you see. If that would not be the case, you'd just simply change his liege entry from ENGL to FRAN. Now you'll need to give the title NORM to king of France and the county title of Arques as well.

3. Lustful isn't saved on characters younger than 20 or rather it's removed on load.

The easy option here would be to search the character file for William of Normandie's ID number. You will find him and his children (an entry of: father = { type = 10 id = 140 }). If you just remove the father (oh yes AND mother entries), the characters will still be in the game but not related to 'you' (or in fact each other).

After doing the first bit you can know just change the leige of Normandy to France.

Will it show up once they turn 20?

And thanks for all the help, you two! Very useful.
