Game crashes at fixed points that seem entirely arbitrary, and by crash I mean black screen into reboot. No BSoD, no hanging, no panic button. This is a stellaris only issue. Files validated, and I haven't had a chance to get far enough into the game to be modding. My current game is at 2242, I think near the end of the year, and when I started it up today it crashed within 5 minutes of unpausing the game. SpeedFan listed normal tempuratures before and while paused, no time to check unpaused.

OS: Windows 10
Graphics Card: GeForce RTX 2070
Motherboard: Intel Core I7-2600 3.4 ghz? (That's what's listed under processor in device manager)

I'm seeing part of your galaxy setup but not the whole thing which is odd [if I am reading it right]

things seem to be missing, or may not have copied properly

2 things that seem to be missing; Galaxy Size and number of AI empires. might want to double check your settings.txt file; as those should have been included (and it would help further narrow down the cause of the crash)

If the file is correct, then just add a new post here that says what Galaxy Size you are using and the number of AI empires in the game
