I haven't played any further than this. Any suggestions/ideas now you can see the map?

Not really, you're operating way beyond my level of ambition here. I still can't believe you're counting every rebellion.

It's doubtful that you will have the time to conquer America

He is KHAN, lord of all he surveys. If time runs out in 1830 he can simply decree the year is 1730 and kill anybody who disagrees! :D

I think it'd be a shame not to try to get one of the americas, at least, IMO. With most of the European combat winding down, maybe you can spare removing an army there and placing it on another continent (after the tsc, of course).

Also, what's that big blue blob in africa, Sweden?

It's absolutely critical that you war as frequently as you possibly can during the last 50 years. This TSC actually looks less serious than some previous ones, I think you can afford to warn every nation on Earth right now. I think you should allow inflation to get out of control and technology to fall behind, and just mint a lot so that you can build larger armies.

I just wonder how do you manage to kill all that rebbels... Whatever i think that AI would never be enough smart to kill all of those... Anyway what is the number of your army?

EDIT: Whatever i have to say that you will not conquer americas(you havent even made a step there... XD... I suppose... what a pitty... Whatever it looks like for me that whole Eurasia had been Brought to dark ages of Golden Horde rulling.

Also i just wonder what would be if this would be the history of the world...

I didn't realise Sweden was so strong in Africa  On the other side of the spectrum, that Ming collapse must be the most pathetic ever

Any remote chance of Sweden attacking Castille (in which case, guaranteeing the Castillians would pay off)? Or just guarantee and warn both for good measure...

FEEDBACK

Franconian - That's certainly good advice although it's not as situation specific as I'd hoped for ;)

Chief Ragusa - I did a lot of thinking about staying at war with Castile and seeing what I could get. Castile's fleet is busy in the Atlantic and the Mediterranean so American adventures would be tricky. GB holds on but bits keep falling off.

The Arch Mede - I need to get out of this war with Castile before I can consider shipping troops to North America - the diplomacy is complicated by Portugal guaranteeing just about every American minor and having lots of troops in the area.

A 1000 provinces is the minimum goal from here; 1100 looks possible as well - as you say very much depends on luck over TSCs.

Dewirix - Just as with my Iroquois AAR I don't believe that this is beyond any competent player who is basically patient enough and stubborn enough to just keep going - although that might raise questions about your sanity :D

Enewald - It is indeed Chimu I forced Castile to release them some years back. Nobody in the Americas likes me I'm going to have to invade.

poloport - I see what you're saying but I'd argue it lacks a certain sense of ambition. Hordifornia FTW ;)

FrozenWall - Steady on! We don't kill people for disagreeing, only for rebelling!

sad king billy - I can raise the troops for campaigning in the Americas although there aren't any spare in Europe and combat there isn't going to end before 1820 as I'll use the war score from homeland provinces to hurt Castile and Portugal in the Americas. The blue in West Africa is mainly Sweden although there are some French provinces there as well.

phalanx369 - Let's hope so :)

Johan11 - Why? It's still there...

blsteen - Thanks, I think :)

whitesoxfan - I probably could just go on a minting frenzy but it lacks style. I'd suggest that the right wars and particularly the right ordering of wars is vital. Portugal has guaranteed a lot of minors if I work it right I can probably repeatedly DOW them without break.

Iwanow - The Horde army is currently around 500 regiments. I stilll need to mint :( I *think* the Americas will be fairly easy to conquer once I get on a roll.

praxiteles - No writing, everyone would have to memorise the saga of the Horde and sing it in class every week :D

aldriq - Sweden is doing quite well in West Africa I'm hoping they'll kill the remaining Sunnis. I doubt they'll tangle with Castile - they don't have the manpower reserves for that war. They may attack me once I've a border. Ming's collapse was good! Five provinces down to one with a two province Wu and a two province Korea.

FlorisDeVijfde - Preparation for the Americas was a couple of years short when the TSC occured. Once I've killed the rebs I can 'review' the situation :D

Chapter Ninety One

Four days into the TSC Dresden converts, nice but it won’t change the big picture. November also has eleven revolts during the normal monthly check; Hinterpommern, Poznan, Ragusa, Pskov, Lombardy, Liguria, Kachin, Telingana, Aorangi, Woiworung and Normandy. An extra 73,000 rebels.

December has seven revolts; Mus, Burgos, Orleans, Erz, Osijek and Shandong Bandao. Brabant was annexed just before the end of the month. The war against Japan and Castile continues. While I have no offensive operations in progress against Castile a single 16 regiment stack continues to slowly march through Japan.

Koblenz converts at the start of January 1767. There are eleven more revolts; Utrecht, Metz, Naxos, Antalya, Timaru, Vizcaya, Sayin Noyan, Pegu, Hsenwi, Siem Reap and Yichuan.

February sees another nine rebellions; Natal, Kisarna, Dornod, Xishuan Banna, Gaza, Vijaya, Karbala, Croatia and Munchen. The first seven sieges complete in late February (107 days), sounds fast but it’s actually later than I was expecting.

Japan’s last army destroyed - February 1767

vy6t75.jpg

I’m aiming for 100% over Japan while I try and free up an army to gamble…

I had just finished building an ‘Expeditionary Force’ - in Thrace currently it’s cleaning house in the Balkans before boarding ship for Sicily. However, I doubt I’ll be able to sneak past the Castilian fleet at the Straits. Looks like it’ll be the long way around…

March brings ten more uprisings; Nizwa, Vastergotland, Zumbo, Xishuan Banna, Maithil, Friuli, Maine, Roussillon, Saratow and Ersekujvar.

April has eight revolts; Maldives, Taka, Sofala, Little Karoo, Mahra, Mosul, Dali and Vorpommern.

May is weirdly quiet with only four uprisings; Tomsk, Argyn, Utrecht and Mainz.

June brings five revolts; Vizcaya, Hamburg, Taka, Oberpfalz and Sivas.

July has another five revolts; Bearn, Aures, Orel, Altishar and Running.

August sees Pfalz convert as well as eleven revolts; Vorpommern, Dalmatia, Jaffna, Moravia, Atlas, Nice, Dadra, Pandua, Shaanxi, Prey Nokor and Chiang Rai.

September starts with Bali-Lombok coring. There are ten more revolts; Ostergotland, Ruppin, Kandahar, Indus, Cambray, Natal, Henan and Idnakar.

Hinggan cores in October. There are nine more revolts; Nevers, Franche Comte, Vizcaya, Castilla La Vieja, Mellila, Archangelsk, Pensa, Brunei and Bangalore.

November has another seven revolts; Ceuta, Asyut, Idnakar, Champagne, Luxemburg, Banat and Zeta. Half way through the TSC there have been another 100+ uprisings. War exhaustion is around 0.5 and Prestige has dropped from +100 to +6.

December also has seven revolts; Constantine, Tlemcen, Vladimir, Erz, Chandigarh, Zimbabwe and Udskoye.

The War situation - January 1768

b6apsk.jpg

Japan is one province from complete occupation. I just need to get into place against Castile to actually make some worthwhile gains. January 1768 has seven revolts; Lappland, Olonets, Gelre, Hainan, Al-Djazair, Picardie and Volhynia.

February has eight rebellions; Piedmont, Bern, Gabes, Croatia, Siak, Mataram, Karbala and Vientiane. Vientiane converts shortly afterwards.

Visayas cores at the start of March. There are only five revolts this month; Guyuan, Munchen, Poznan, Grodno and Mogilyov.

There are eleven revolts in April; Jylland, Polotsk, Beirut, Manipur, Kohistan, Kondavidu, Hinggan, Gonder, Malindi, Shandong Bandao and Wiradjuri.

Tidore cores in May. There are just five revolts during the month; Loango, Zeta, Cherson, Medina and Sanguan.

A fifth National Idea - June 1768

1zgg4zl.jpg

I take Engineer Corps - there are a lot of big fortresses out there and +1 siege on all my leaders will be very helpful. June only has five rebellions; Napoli, Normandie, Cape, Gojjam and Udskoye.

July has five revolts as well; Bursa, Kouban, Pirineo, Zumbo and Lanzhou.

Invasion Brazil - July 1768

16ae89u.jpg

At long last Horde forces land in the Americas. Thirty regiments under a 6/6/6/1 General will try and carve out a base in Castilian Brazil.

August sees new cores; Wien and Priangan. There are six uprisings; Brunei, Calabria, Loango, Lamu, Toungoo and Breisgau.

Ireland - September 1768

fuza7d.jpg

Great Britain’s retreat from empire continues.

There are ten more revolts in September; Calais, Neumark, Calabria, Janina, Schwyz, Dauphine, Limburg, Budjak, Kastamon and Kyzyl Kum.

October has five revolts; Constantine, Riga, Bikaner, Datong and Yichuan.

November, the last month of the TSC, has six new cores in China; Fengyuan, Shenquing, Guiyang, Bozhou, Guangxi and Jiangmen. There are also eleven revolts; Salzburg, Mocha, Mogilyov, Gilan, Malwa, Wien, Tanga, Leon, Riau, Blambangan and Maguindanao.

As the TSC ends in December Prestige is down to -16. Not as bad as I expected.

There are

Rebel armies : 68
Rebel sieges : 31
Rebel occupied provinces : 38

This is nothing like as bad as it looks. Much of this lot are followers of the Pretender and once I kill him (a one regiment pop in Siberia) around half this lot will disappear. Another dozen or more of these are other Pretenders or Peasants scattered across the islands and there’s no real time urgency. I will need some extra forces in East Asia and Africa once the current garrisons redeploy…

The crisis may be over but the rebellions aren’t; Slesvig, Majerteen and Lothringen are revolt this month.

The war situation - January 1769

333d3yd.jpg

I’m at 100% vs. Japan and about 34% against Castile alone. I suspect taking the rest of Iberian Castile and Brazil may make a separate peace deal with Castile then peace with Japan viable rather than taking Castilian land from Japan.

Eora revolts in March. The main pretender dies this month as well.

There are another three revolts in April; Bohuslan, Urumqi and Burgos.

Utrecht revolts in May.

War time defection - May 1769

vn1c79.jpg

This is the first time I’ve had this event in this game - in an ideal world all of Japan’s Korean and Manchurian provinces would be nice!

June brings five revolts; Jinan, Nice, Toulouse, Trier and Bourgogne.

July sees revolts in Mozambique, Kachin and Xuan Fu.

August also has three revolts; Munster, Girona and Languedoc.

I’m making steady progress in Brazil although it’s slow as travel times are long and I can’t bring in reinforcements. A two cavalry / six artillery stack with a siege 2 General is proving very effective.

There are five more revolts in September; Changzhi, Handan, Mantua, Menabe and Tlemcen.

Russian Yaroslavl culturally assimilates in October and there are four revolts; Sakhalin, Amdo, Piedmont and Sichuan Pendi.

Gyeongsang in Japanese Korea defects during November. I’m not deliberately long-waiting anything here as Japan is war leader and I’m still very far from overrunning Castile.

There are another four uprisings in December; Salzburg, Dzungaria, Vanuatu and Wiradjuri.

The war with Castile - January 1770

2gtw6l5.jpg

Those four Portuguese border provinces south of Castilian Brazil all have Level 5 fortresses. It’s only Level 3 on the Castilian side.

A new Khan!

2uo3p12.jpg

A short Regency is nice but I still have rebels left over from the last TSC!

Existing rebels:

Rebel armies : 24
Rebel sieges : 13
Rebel occupied provinces : 16

The occupied provinces are mainly minor pretenders in the South East Asian islands.

Rebel Count = 5304 (+223)
Rebels = 25,721,000 (+1,119,000)

I know its said before, but your patience (or lack of sanity ... up to you) in doing this is phenomenal. The idea of a Horde cultured Brazil is a bit disturbing though. Last time I checked Mongolia are even worse than Scotland at football, so it looks like a net loss for those few human beings you've not slaughtered for rebelling.

meant to add, its obv this rebelling thiing is catching on. There you are, just arrived in Brazil and already, there are two groups of rebels just wandering around waiting for the chance to rebel against the horde.

...March brings ten more uprisings; Nizwa, Vastergotland, Zumbo, Xishuan Banna, Maithil, Friuli, Maine, Roussillon, Saratow and Ersekujvar.

December also has seven revolts; Constantine, Tlemcen, Vladimir, Erz, Chandigarh, Zimbabwe and Udskoye....
I'll never look at my revolts the same way again...

edit: does japan still have a fleet? If so, you can expect more bankruptcies and thus defections coming your way.

Great work running for Brazil! Remarkable war effort seeing that it's in the middle of a TSC.

At least you're not getting the RR penalties with that Khan...

Phew, just spent two weeks catching up on this thread! The epic length of this thread is making it quite a chore to read, even though it remains entertaining. I'm getting that uneasy feeling that this is going to end like the Iroquois one - close but no cigar. I hope I'm wrong though; and in any case you've come far closer to a WC than you had any right to.

I'll have to join the crowd in stating the obvious: your patience for rebels is beyond admirable and bordering on obsessive. Although you persist in playing IN, your displays of taste for the more challenging EU3 experiences have been an inspiration to me in my Magna Mundi efforts, which due to the nature of the mod and my limited skills never end up anywhere close to a WC.

All the best for the final decades!
