He's playing on IN, not HTTT or DW. It's totally random, and there's no way to know how long the Regency lasts, or what the heir's stats will be - in fact, there wasn't any hereditary line, so you could randomly have regency council at each succession, you just have low odds of it happening.

I am not sure just how many provinces there are outstanding. With an accurate count I could be more or less confident about it, but for a long time I have thought that you were progressing at about the right rate and that with good luck on ruler stats you would go faster.
I hope that this won't end in a fail as your two previous AAR's. I'm not sure can I say that about Audacity of hope where the goal in the beginning was just to survive (but turned into WC??).

I like the idea that what will trigger the next TSC is when your current under age king grows up ... there's something so sporting about your rebels being prepared to wait.

Ah I didn't remember the install issues, Alpha Centauri has had those since Windows XP. I actually ended up copying the files from my Windows 98 install ages ago, and have just copied the folder when I've got a new computer ever since, and playing has never been a problem... A positive to not owning the expansion I suppose - I can't be sure but I hear that copying the files doesn't work with that.
Of course, maybe there are workarounds for the install issues available. I haven't checked in like eight years. Hopefully you get it to work anyway, it's a good one.

The original AC will not work easily on more recent OS. However, AC complete works fine on my Win7 machine.

Truly excellent, PrawnStar your accomplishments with the Horde are simply superb. WC or not, you have done exceedingly well. I look forward to reading about the rest of the ride. And seeing how many rebels you total out at.
Bad timing for a regency. Typical, I declare the Khan will live into the 1770s and he promptly pops his clogs. Hopefully, you'll get an heir come of age before the TSC ends.

The destruction of the Japanese navy opens the way to Japan. With the TSC
peace will have to be made soon. Should be able to drive Japan from Asia and take more north africa off Castile.
Shame about British Mexico. Looks like the French lands sandwiched in British Mexico need some encouragement to rebel. The Morea ought to DoW- but they may just have a leader who knows not to attack.
The TSC ought to have around 250 rebellions with between 1.25m and 1.5m rebels. Likely double that once the regular revolts occur. You've a lot more troops and these should be added to and that ought to make this TSC easier to deal with.
"France will problably survive" -an effort had better be made to ensure this does not happen.

GaiusC - Thanks for explaining about the Regency. I will need to do some diplomatic manoeuvring to keep expanding through the dark years of peacefulness.
The Arch Mede - I'm around 770 provinces at the moment, I think there's too far to go although the current expansion rate (say 4 a year) would still get me near a thousand provinces by game end. Then again near the end I can go a bit crazy
esk1m0 - This was never expected to be a WC - I've played test games and know just how badly TSCs slow everything down. I guess success is proving that hyperexpansionist Tribal government is possible just hard work!
France failed to be a below BB limit WC by 2.4 points and I stayed Monarchy! As for the Iroquois that game needs some context - right before I started people were posting that the Americans were unplayable - usually a new thread every week or so when someone found their Aztec Empire got annexed in 10 minutes. There aren't quite as many of those threads any more

loki100 - I actually think the Horde is causing GB's problems - they've 100k+ watching me in Norway. Regencies give the rebels two bites at the cherry, now and when the new Khan grows up!

Chapter Ninety
There are 225 revolts with 1,111,000 rebels. The rebels are more widely dispersed so there aren’t so many cool screenshots full of little red and black graphics.
Europe
Africa: There’s no decent screenshot but basically all of Horde Africa barring modern Egypt has revolted.
India
Mostly cored and converted India is a happier place now.
China
Rebels? Taken away!
oSouth East Asia, Sumatra and the Philippines are calmer. Indonesia does have some rebels.
Australasia is entirely rebellious as I have no cores in the area. The Siberian coast also sees some rebel activity.
In Nomine Regencies generally last between four and six years. With a second TSC after this one I’m probably looking at around ten years of chaos during which I either won’t be able to declare war or won’t be in a position to do so.
The previous plan; DOW Portugal & Wu then Luxembourg (for France) & Ryukyu (for Japan) has to be scrapped. I was going to avoid borders with Sweden but I think that could be my best route to drawing a DOW and gaining a foothold in South America. Fortunately I currently control a Castilian province that borders Swedish territory…
I need other people to DOW me so I’ll cancel my first instinct of making peace ASAP and let the war run a little while to see if anyone jumps in (I’m looking at you Morea, Morocco and Pattani)…

Looks like all of mainland France is going to be submerged by your rebels, Portuguese Aragon and MIlan.
So stay at war. 100% of Castile is 50 Americas provinces or 49 and Gabon. Peace out with Brabant for its extensive treasury and use it to fund expansion of troops. Then see if you can take advantage of Castile's seeming content to keep its fleet at home. 100% of Japan is all of Asia and Japan's CoT. Extra troops - 75,000 to the new world and 25,000 for Africa and Australasia.

What would be nice is a war where an american state triggers your warning or guarantee so you get to jump on them with the Europeans onside. Where best to get that I have no idea.
770 down means over 400 to go which is definitely stretching it. 1000 shouldn't be a problem even with pretty bad luck, and I still expect you to get over 1100 from this position. Suppose you get a decent Khan with a decent life after the regency, then a good khan after that, I can still see it becoming a nailbiter about whether that Khan stays in the saddle until the end of the game or a massive TSC in 1816 stops you quite managing it.
