In my Ottoman game I am finding that rebel movements (mostly nationalist/patriotic - Egyptians, Iraqis, Tunisians, etc.) continue to grow and rebel even when I have something like 2-3 stability, no war exhaustion, everyone is generally having a good time, no provincial unrest and many many years after I've conquered their provinces.
And there are also very silly situations, like when I conquered part of the upper Nile. Their armies were butchered with ease by my gunpowder troops, but then later when I have one of these rebellions in the newly conquered area, the armies are ten times bigger than anything the kingdom ever offered and practically as big a threat as Austrian armies.
I'm all for internal unrest being something that a player should be concerned about, but this seems a bit ridiculous. It's not like it's the 1800s.
Any thoughts, shared or opposite experiences?
