I have a lot of countries that have rebellions contstantly which is quite annoying since I have to send an army over there to squash them. Is there a way to prevent this or lower the results of this happening besides putting a priest/inam or marshal in the country?

Here's what you do:
1. Go to message settings and turn off the notification for rebels popping up (this is key)
2. Ignore rebels

Rebels don't mean anything. They won't go independent. They won't move to a neighboring county. And eventually they'll go away on their own.

I think an interesting thing to note is that if they spring up in your capital they can kill you and your family members (rabble). That's how my emperor died :-(
