Here's something I've been thinking about, and before you ask this is absolutely NOT because I watched Rogue One last week and very much enjoyed it.
I find it pretty odd that you can end up with so many rebellious factions all working separately for the cause of liberating their home planet or sector, when surely it would make more sense for them to band together in some sort of large-scale rebellion in the hopes of breaking away from their oppressive government or perhaps even defeat their leaders.
I know they're going to be reworking the faction system to be related to ethics, but it would make for some nice intrigue if circumstances conspired to create some sort of small crisis for you to deal with.
