Primary Weapons

Actually, most primary weapon items have flaws. As for me, it's a shame that starting weapons become obsolete so soon. I think some starting weapon could have additional abilities or features to stay usable longer.
For example:
Pulse Repeater gives Arc Power Blast for hero, becomes T2.
Arc Projector gives Project Arc Blast for hero, becomes T2.

OP forgot Assembly Shotgun (AFAIK, hero version lacks High Impact), Laser Sniper, Kinetic Sniper (don't remember name) and Vorpal Sniper.
Also starting weapons are so same, definitely need some 'flavor'.

Soul Splitter is pretty weak, imao, when target hasn't armor or has shields instead.

Thrax Pistol is tier 2 like Bio Blaster and Pistol but has low damage (6) compared to them (8)
Suggestions:
- becomes tier 1
- increase repeating damage to 7-8

... or make it Biochemical Revolver. :)

Thermal Grenade has high damage (10) compared with other grenades (6-8) and strong burning effect + high effect strenght.
Suggestions:
- decrease incendiary strenght to 4-6
- decrease thermal damage to 8-9 + becomes tier 2

Why? Thermal Grenade lacks High Impact, which is extremely useful when enemy hasn't stagger resistance.

Arc Bolas has low damage compared to other grenades (immobilize doesnt compensate for the damage diffrence)
Suggestion: increase arc damage to 6-7

Sometimes it compensates. Also bolas have 5 range, not 3 as other grenades.

Melee Weapons

As for all weapon of same tier must have same damage amount (Laser Sword = Laser Glaive = Arc Sword).
Inferno Gauntlets could have some love (move to t1 or give them additional effect like Inflict Soulburn).
Void Blades also needs some upgrades - low damage and low strength of additional effect (compare with Pestilence).

Rending Claws

Mostly agreed, but... It would be interesting to see, for example, how typical hero upgrades Close Quarters (+10% melee damage) give to Rending Claws not +10, but +20% (exclusively).

PsiTec Fists

I'd not do this. Psi Tec Fists is only one starting weapon being viable in middle game and later, probably...

1. on arc bolas whole point of it is the immobilize it is NOT a grenade it DOES NOT explode and therefor should not deal the same damage as a grenade is has almost double the range of grenades tho and again changing this skill will be buffing syndicate runners so that is something to consider as well I think it is ok where it is the whole point of it is high accuracy and ignores line of sight flanker damage should be considered here as well

2. other concern phi tech fists is going to be nerfing enforcers is that something that should happen? they did just get a buff with stagger resist so could call it a even trade thoguhts? something to consider? something to moniter and keep in mind for future? psyonic resistense is also very easy to get...


3. thermal grenade
this grenade is all about damage it has no stagger which is the tradeoff so instead of reducing damage coming in/damage taken it just deals higher damage instead I think it should keep its higher damage personaly as losing the stagger is a penaltly

also can we talk about ego bomb? I know I always take this for site reward it is the only grenade with a 2 turn cd but also can not be taken as a starting item so probly is fine would love to see other items like this

also dread thank you for starting the series of threads I think its better to have these ideas here where paradox/triumph/entire community can see them than on the discord also allows more input than just the votes/poles also has anoyne seen hillidan around?

Thrax pistol- if you are going to add an inflict it does not need a damage buff.

Thrax rifle- again, if adding inflict you would not need to change anything. Alternatively, just buff it up to hasher damage with no inflict and leave it at t2


Inferno strike- why not add a str 4 soulburn or incendiary instead?

Rending claws- could give them innate frenzy rather than a tier drop?
