Reaper's Due Problem

Nearly every courtier and character has eye patches, masks, or disfigurements(they don't have any ailment traits(pox, Wounded, Maimed, etc.))since i installed Reaper's Due and I've tried a lot of portrait modifying mods and nothing has changed them and i'm not interested in rooting around in files without a guide.

Turn off all mods, verify integrity of game cache, and if that fails, complete deletion of CK2 folder and reinstall.

Are you sure you're not running any graphics mods?

I recall seeing a thread in the Bugs subforum very recently where a user complained about more or less the same problem, and it turned out he didn't realize their files were modded somehow.

are you using mods or an old save?
Or have added mods with traits to an old save?
It sounds like something may have changed the order the traits are in for the traits file, and because they are stored by # in the save file if the order is altered then upon load every ones traits will be different.

And Deadhand ive deleted the game twice but i havent completely deleted the entire folder but ill try that if they're ideas don't work.

I'm having this issue too--tons of random characters have either face injury bandages or these weird venetian-looking masks. Some even have "saint" backgrounds. I tried deleting the folders and reinstalling, but no help.

Uninstalling doesn't always work because it doesn't always delete extra files and folders that you put there (or a mod put there). Manual deletion is the way to go. Maybe clear the mod folder? Shouldn't be causing problems if all mods are deactivated.

I found the issue on my end--I was using CK2Plus with the wrong version of the game. Rolling back to an earlier version did the trick.
