Did I miss something? Is it now possible to change Dynasties without cheating?Next step - have Theuderic installed AFTER Francia has been reunited, then marry into the family and end up as a Merovingian.
He was added in the new patch. This must be new... I checked in previous games for Merovingians and there wasn't any one left alive... or maybe I missed something

If they can put a "last Merovingian" in the game, I believe they can also put a "last Sassanid" somewhere in there... a Zoroastrian courtier with a claim on the Empire of Persia...

Still, he shouldn't be called Theoderic III if he ascends to power, but Theoderic V.
I didn't check the history files yet, but there might be an issue there.
What I suspect is that they differenciate rulers called "Thierry" and those called "Theoderic", and number them separately, while it's actually the same name ("Theoderic" is the germanic version, while "Thierry" is a more latinized version).
Actually our good friend Theoderic there, is actually referred as "Thierry" by most modern-day historians.
The surviving sassanids, became the Li family in china and vanish from records. So by the time of CK2, a Sassanid heir, would be chinese, mongol graphics pack, probably buddhist (as thats the closest to china CK2 gets) and going by the name of Li and probably not very keen to go to persia.
We only know that the grandson of the last Sassanid king was born around 100 years before the Charlemagne start date and that he died in China. It is believed that he lived his last years in Chang'an, the capital of Tang. The last merovingian is HISTORICAL. He really exist. Can you link me a surviving Sassanid on the start date?
