The "Predictive Consumerism" tech has a specific flavor text of using advanced algorythms to predict and meet consumer demand before it even exists (and as such gives +10% CG output), and yet, Synths which are supposed to be good with computers and algorythms that could help with commerce, being computers and algorythms themselves, cannot make great merchants, ever... They can be great scientists, great entertainers (if you ever read this Miku, I'm a huge fan of yours! I can't wait for you to tour in my city!), they make can make great farmers or miners, but they'll always be "meh" traders... Why?

Market and profit comes from imperfect information for involved parties. When information is perfect there is no profit margin to be made.
The point I was making was "Synths often have traits that can make them as good as or even better at jobs as organics can be", from "Logic Engines" and "Intelligent" having the same Research bonuses, or Domestic Protocols and Charismatic producing the same extra amenities, but despite the flavor text in favor of using computational enhancement for mercantile purposes, being merchants is the one and only thing bots can never do as well as organics? Why???

And you're missing the point I was making that somehow commerce is the only thing bots cannot do as well as organics over an easy flavor justification for how their merchant trait achieves it thrown in in five or so minutes while they can objectively, based on their traits, specialise in everything **but** being merchants including being the best Entertainers or culture workers, two things than many people would consider so-called "soulless" machines would be incapable of much more than making a profit which many people would consider easy for an optimised profit making machine...

What use do robots need for internal trade? Trade Value is just a representation of the economic activity between individuals *within your empire.* There's no trade in one big automatic warehouse. That's why the base Trade Value for Pops is based off of their Living Standards' Consumer Goods upkeep, a thing Gestalt empires don't have because they don't have consumers, they have drones.

Synths are specifically the Individualist robots, not the Gestalt ones. They are 100% individuals whom are capable of economic activities and trade, since they do take jobs as Clerks and Merchants and Executives and Managers, and yet this is the only job aspects Synths have absolutely no relevant traits for.

Yeah, and Synthetic Ascension empires HAVE TRADE. Synthetic Ascension doesn't remove Trade from your empire.

Literally what are you even complaining about?

That they somehow have literally no Trait relating to TV from jobs? That they can make awesome Entertainers (hi Miku!) or scientists, but average merchants only? That mercantile endeavors are the only thing they have no traits for, even though they otherwise have the same traits as Organics?

Wait you literally just want Thrifty for Synths?

Would it have killed you to just clearly and specifically state that at the beginning?
