So, my Kings have since ancient times had this Realm Duress tag which I so despise. What I want to know is if there's a way to lose the tag, or if you're stuck with it for all eternity? It hurts like hell to see my vassals dropping one after another, and I just want it to end and I don't want to enter the savegame and modify it... feels like such a cheat (obviously)...

Is there an event of some sort which removes it? Or does it remove itself after a while?

it removes itself once you get your vassals under control.

one way to do this is just to let some of the more rebellious, and distant, ones go. sign peace treaties recognizing their claims. who cares if they are the count of where-ever-in-sweden? you have more important things to worry about.

when i get realm duress, i take it as a sign that i need to focus on my priorities - where my core demesne and lands are. everything else becomes expendable.

eventually, the situation will/should resolve itself. the key danger is not internally - you can survive realm duress regarding your vassals in most instances - but externally. should the seljuks or the french or whoever decide that they want to knock you down a few notches, without reliable vassal armies, it's hard to fight them. again, this is why i focus on my core, and let the periphery go where it may.

And rebellious vassals then? Somehow my vassals continue to get the Rebellious trait, even though my realm currently is under non-duress (my former leige managed to fall off of the wagon). Is it connected to the other vassals being Rebellious? If so, is there any way to get rid of it without annexing their provinces and giving them to loyal vassals?

If you have a lot of vassals then you're bound to have a few rebellious ones now and then. In my limited experience the key is to make sure one vassal is not too powerful and not too spread out (islands are particularly annoying and difficult), so that in case of rebellion you can squash him quickly by capturing his personal demesne. Afterward, you can take a title from him to chip him down a bit if you want, but most of the time I just revassalize them. If you make them recognize your claims to your own land (which they claimed beforehand) you can win a lot of prestige without getting a bad reputation.

So it is common then? Very well! I shall have to bare with them, I guess! The most annoying thing is when vassals of vassals break loose... since I don't get a notice when they do! xD Anyhow, thanks both of you!

If you get above +1 stability (up to 3), there'll be less problems. Stability matters ! Well, prestige, diplomacy, intrigue of your vassal...

also, i make every effort to conform to the CK ducal realms. this way, my vassals are compact - i don't have to send men all the way to central russia to deal with a duke whose core demesne is in hungary because i just HAD to give him another county.
