Oh you can blame the lawyers we have to deal with in our profession for THAT
Everything must be documented, provable, filed, etc... because you never know when someone will show up and not having it well documented and in order leaves you liable for a big lawsuit. I never realized how much paperwork was involved in this line of business. It almost takes all the fun out of it. Almost.

While you have my sympathies, I highly doubt Paradox will be granting early access simply to people who have unfortunately injured themselves in similar cases. If anything, I can see at least a dozen of us will be breaking our arms and legs just to get it if it is possible.

Hi there,

So on Saturday i fell off my skateboard while attempting to do a rock to fakie on a quarter pipe (im a 40 year old man and should know better). i landed badly on my left shoulder with my left arm behind my back and under me, there was a pop and then all i could hear was the roar of pain coming out of my mouth. i spent the next hour waiting for an ambulance trying to not move, pass out or be sick. I had dislocated my shoulder. 4 hours and a lot of drugs later 2 strong doctors popped it back in place.

So now i have my left arm in a sling and i'm signed off work until.... you guessed it the 9th May. I am also hurting, frustrated and feeling useless.

Please, good kind people of Paradox, please can i have early access to this beautiful looking dream game! (im happy to sign a none disclosure agreement or only say really positive things about my experience)
