Where precisely do you have to hook up the pipes to get them to operate? I drag a line of pipes from my pumping station to my treatment plant an the sewage treatment plant works, but getting the pumping station to work is a chore and a half that takes weeks of fiddling with precisely which pipes connect to which bits of the building. Meanwhile my entire city has plenty of sewage service, the sewage pipes are a pleasant light green color, and the water pipes remain empty.

Then I build a water tower, hook it up, and within a day everything is working.

Does anyone else have this issue?

There is a connection point on the back of the water pumps, pretty much exactly the same as the connection point on the back of the sewage outlet. The water pipes are a pair, one for sewer and one for water. I'm not sure I totally understand the problem. Water pumps do require electricity.

Water and sewage pipes are the same thing and must be connected to one another. You don't need separate sewage pipes and water pipes; the pipes handle both of them. If you're able to hook up to a sewage pump, then you know how to hook up to a water pump; it's the same thing. One set of connected pipes is all you need; and, as pointed out above, they both need electricity.

That part I knew. The problem was that I was connecting the sewage pipes to the front two pipes. If you try that you'l note they both glow green when you try to hook them to the sewer system, but that does not actually work.

So thanks for telling me the proper hookup is the one at the rear.
