So, yesterday I got my hands on Hearts of Iron IV. Someone (@Da9L ) mentioned Ethiopia being so hard. So hearing this challenge, I decided to jump right into it. Of course, I decided to go for Veteran Ironman mode - because why go for ez-mode right? So in my first attempt, I did hold out for 8 months. Second run ended after 2 years with balance of casualties 3:1 (Italians lost 3 men for each one of my own), but unfortunately eventually dislodged me from the capital. Then tried couple things, once went for casual regular scrub-mode. But today I woke up, still almost sleeping, and decided to do it once again. And well - it went quite okay I must say. Only thing I regret is I'm having allergy, and sneezing like madman, so couldn't stream/record it with any commentary
In spoilers there will be screenshots.
Thanks Kalpa for reminding me, that I have memory issues
Italians Eunt Domus - 1.06.37
Seems completely throwing them away from my land and inflicting over twice as much casualties is losing...
And during 'mid-run' I didn't make any screenshots, however this one...
Who laughs now Italy? (Czech don't be mad)
Prester John folded four hundred times
Chilling out in my part of land
And bonus screenshots -
Coolest faction, consisting of one country
Neutral from the start of the game until it's end. Never joined any faction (beside 'creating' one for few moments
- to get cool name ^^)
Now I need to rest.
Holy Moly, I played for 12 hours
