Just got the game and am playing as Pontis. I love the whole government and family aspect to the game that even makes peacetime interesting. This is an aspect that should be transferred over to EUIII. As well i really like the trade system. It might be a bit simplistic, but i think setting up trade routes it more realistic than the center of trade concept in EU III

I have a few questions.

1) Is is possible to scorch the land?

2)Do i have any control over who my king marries, or is that something they decide for themselves?

3) Is it possible to mod or patch the steam version of the game.

Thanks

1) No

2) Not that I know of.

3) Yes. Manually extract the mod/patch files to ...steam/steamapps/common/europa universalis rome/ (and to whatever sub-directory for mods). Then use the Rome.exe to activate the mod and play the game.

Alt + 21 on numeric keypad to bring up the consol on standard english keyboard

type marriage into the consol then enter,

you should see a confirmation of this in top corner of screen.

You need to repeat this process to turn this feature off, Unfortunatly this also forces you to select ALL marriages or people wont marry.
Secondly its a little buggy, Ive acidentally managed to marry my monarch to himself in the past.
