The tutorial was shit so i have to ask here...

The metro system that seems to be a moneymaker doesnt work for me, i build a elevated system over whole city, and when i want to build stations there is no "elevated station"...
How do i get stations to it!? :O

And how many buses should i have for a line?

EDIT: and i cant build ground level metro on road?! oww... well i starting to delete whole track now, i got bankrupt almost

The tutorial is fine, I learned the basics from it, and I got "the rest" by trial and error.

Place metro stations first, and place the tracks after that. And you do know that there's 3 levels of tracks/stations? That might be what's causing you some trouble.

Well, the Very basics yes...

But i cant almost put the ground station anywhere on the whole map!
Only on outskirts where no one lives :S

EDIT: i build a underground metro all under town, basic one... Only stations on the train stations and one near church.

So just like real life you cant just plonk a massive station in the middle of a bunch of buildings? odd.

In Amsterdam you can build elevated stations on just about any street, its just about finding one that fits. In london there are very few ground level metro stops, most are underground what with all the people and buildings being in the way.

Ground level stations are ideal for the outskirts where you have space and can therefore save some money. Aside from that of course you aren't going to be able to place them anywhere.

As Oogh said, build stations first and then link up. Once you learn what can and cant be done you don't make anywhere near as many costly mistakes.

As other wrote, you should first build stations and then build tracks, however, elevated stations are not available in the beginning.

One thing that I do, or at least did in the beginning, is to save before you start to lay down your metro lines. If you mess up and it gets way too expensive, just reload.

Kinda cheating, but really useful before you get the hang of it, due to the extreme cost of metros.

You don't need metro to win, but metro is often a good shortcut but with less satisfaction. I don't know why Berlin si the first mission, was the hardest chapter of the campaign to beat.

not quite true

The developers created this game in Finland with a BIAS toward the metro(subway). This is the biggest money maker in the game and will not increase or be affected by traffic. It is a must, for profit and for winning most scenarios.

If u have troubles to stay profitable, lower your station maintenance to save some money. Also usually it is a good idea to take maximum amount of short term loan to complete first metros to get cash flowing.

100% metro brings another problem: Passangers only pay 1 fee and travel for free rest of the journey, if they have to change line. If you do for example a combo of bus-metro-tram, you get 3 fares.

This is really weird for me even as a experinced gamer, i have played much Sim City, Cities XL and stuff ( no i dont say its the same thing )

As you know, certain vehicles, stop types, and stations only become available with specific years. In Berlin, it is too early and you do not have elevated stations. The elevated track is useful for crossing over roads, etc, but you cannot build an elevated station yet. No big deal. Build most of your metro underground.
There isn't much benefit for placing street-level metro stations in Berlin.
In Amsterdam you might find them quite useful for the villages and areas out in the open. There are different types of lines and stops... you choose the one that is best suited for the situation you are in.

As for those saying to take a huge loan in the beginning and build only metros. Ok, you can do that. But for me that didn't seem as interesting. I haven't done that. It seemed too easy.

After you spend some time playing and experimenting you will learn the keys to building a successful network. Learn the economy aspects as well. Does the tutorial teach you everything? No, of course not. Learn by doing and trying. Thats whats fun.
